Delilah pov

It's been around two weeks since my first date with Silas. I don't know, but I felt forced in there, unnatural, not me. Silas and I are still 'talking' I guess but we distanced a bit considering the hard part of school was officially initiating with tests and the boys hockey season starting in a two weeks or so.

Who I'm definitely not talking to is Logan. The only interaction we've had so far is if he can borrow a pen of mine. Which I said yes. I miss it, I miss him. I couldn't even tell him about Blair and Nana because he wouldn't even meet my eyes. It's just like we are in the same room with a wall between us. A wall I would love to break, yet I'm tied up and can't throw a single punch.

"Hey girl," Cleo says smiling at me as I sit down

"Is it me or classes are being intolerable," she asks drinking what I think is coffee

"They aren't, at least not for me," I reply cutting a piece of my toast

"Good for you because I simply can't learn more shit now, or ever," she says and I laugh with her

"Luckily is our last year," Cleo says and Emory quickly shush her

"Don't remind me I'm still in denial," she says and we laugh even more, and then it hits me this was the last fall before we graduated

"Me too girlie," I say and we all laugh and as the laughing died out the mailman brought out mail...

It's been more than a month and the only letter I've read was the one Logan wrote me years ago. Which I fucking found. Pathetic, and I know my dad wouldn't pick up a paper and pen if he knew it was for me even if I was drying. He hated me and I've lived my life being aware of that, but not a single check in, that's what's messing with me.

Before I know it Cleo and Em got her mail and my eyes were watering

I don't think jealousy was bad until I felt it. I want to be like them in this moment. They both have piles of letters from their families and I'm here asking if any mail of mine has ever arrived. I couldn't stand being here so before I knew it an excuse came out of my mouth.

"Oh shit I'm late for physics," I say and gather all my stuff  running to class before anyone could see my watering eyes

I get to the room and open it. He was the only one there. His hair was washed carefully and I know it smelled good by the looks of it. It smelled husky and sweet at the same time. It smelled like him. His uniform was carefully placed except he looked tired of something.

I sat down in front of him and my breath hitched by feeling his hair hit my back. I turned around and saw him laying his head on the desk. He looked so peaceful when the bell rang so I woke him up by lightly ruffling through his hair for which I received a light groan that filled my insides.

I couldn't face him if he woke up so I decided to just turn around and hope he woke up.

Today the teacher said we were doing a little assignment for class work and preparing us for something like a science fair for later in the semester. To be honest I didn't quite concentrate on the words he said but more on feeling the hair on my back I knew belonged to him.

"Who will be pairing us up," Blake asks the teacher as he stood well sat there confused

"Me," Mr. Thomson says scanning around in the room

"You and you, Smith and Pacheco, Drakos and Aponte, you and you, you back there with her, Tucker and Anastasia and finally... Rosewood and Delcourt," he says and my heart fell to my stomach the moment his name fell out of his mouth
