Delilah pov
Logan opens the door to see the mess we're currently in, and when he actually saw what we broke his whole expression changed.
"Everyone out," he says and we freeze once we hear his usually strong voice break.
"Everyone. Get. Out," he yells with an angry tone, and this time including myself we make our way out the door.
"Delilah, not you," he says to me "you live here," he says and I nod going into his portion and helping him clean whatever it was that broke. Once I see it I understand his actions.
It was a frame, the same frame I had. The same one I had broken except his contained a picture taken of our last Christmas together. It had Blair, Chiara, him and me. It was the last photo of us together before everything went down. Before it all fell down.
"Don't worry I'll clean it," he says looking at me in the eyes with a cold stare and tears forming in his eyes.
"Okay," I say, walking to my portion and closing the curtain to give him some privacy. I continue watching the movie when I hear sobs coming from the other side of the curtain.
I make my way to the curtain to open it only to find him sitting down with the picture in his hands sobbing.
"Everything's gonna be fine I promise," I say rubbing his back to which he startles at the touch.
"Please no, don't do that, don't say that, you don't know" he says yet so softly it could've gone unnoticed.
"Let me help, please," I say to him, caressing his cheek and turning his face so slightly he could see me.
"No, go to someone who actually wants you," he says practically begging, and at that moment the boy I knew and grew up with was dead. I didn't recognize the person in front of me and in a heartbeat I took my stuff and ran to the door.
"Rose, Rose no I'm sorry I swear on everything I didn't mean it, please don't leave me." he says and I just leave without looking back. I ran down the stairs and out of the building as I felt it was suffocating me. I continue walking ignoring the cold breeze hitting my skin and don't stop until I reach my safe place, the rink. Luckily, the right window was open so I just hopped in with tears in my eyes.
I perfectionated the art of getting in without knowing so it shocked me seeing Aria in the skating rink. She was so mesmerizing to see. It was refreshing and just so inspiring.
"Hi Delilah is everything okay," she asks, skating towards where I was with a furrow in her brows.
"I need to ask you something," I admit, wiping my tears away while I fidget with my fingers, and bring myself to obtain courage.
"Yeah sure what's wrong," she asks, getting out of the rink with preoccupation in her tone.
"How did you know my mother?" I ask her, jumping directly to it trying to focus.
"Uhm, Uhm I don't know what you're talking about," she says, avoiding eye contact and trying to talk me out of it.
"With all due respect, don't lie to me, I know you knew each other, Chiara's mom told me," I say remembering to tell myself to breathe.
"Of course Nana did, you'll need to sit down for this one," she says walking us to the nearest bench where we sit down.
"Ok," I say as my breath quickens and anxiety settles in my head, almost consuming me.
"Your mom, Chiara and I we met here in this place, well your mom and I knew each other already, but this place brought us closer" she says starting to tell the story "We were inseparable, kind of like Archibald, Winters and you," she admits and I could see her eyes forming tears.
