'Yes mum' She said pacing the dining room table 'yes mum' she said nodding.
Max looked over at her from the couch watching her pace. She was chewing her thumbnail before placing a hand on her back to support it before going back to chewing her thumbnail.
'Yes mum he will he will' she said rolling her eyes and shaking her head 'okay okay. I love you I'll see you soon. Bye. Bye. Bye. Okay bye' she said before hanging up the phone.
She light out a sigh collapsing on the couch.
'How do you talk to your mother for 2 hours like that?' Max asked.
'We live in different parts of the world' Saffron said laughing 'okay' she said breathing out before turning to look at Max 'you need to pick my family up from the airport tomorrow. Their flight lands at 9am okay?' She said sending him their flight details.
'Yes me love' he said smiling at her.
'Okay great. Now can we please finalise the grocery list and order so it arrives tomorrow?' She said handing him her phone.
'Yes my love' he said smiling again. He was more than happy to do anything for his beautiful wife. After all he loved her more than anything. He was ashamed to say but he couldn't help but feel somewhat good after seeing the sadness on Carlos's face as he talked about you.
'Okay' Saffron said standing up and getting ready to pace again 'beds are made, rooms are clean, there are fresh towels in the bathrooms. Bathrooms are clean and stocked with toiletries, toilets have been cleaned and stock with loo roll. The pool has been cleaned, grass mowed, deck is clean, so I guess all that's left to do is the fairy lights and prepare for the baby shower' she said tapping a finger on her chin ticking off a list in her head.
'I think you can relax now Saf' he said patting the couch next to her.
'Oh Maxy' She said getting teary, 'I'm just so excited for the baby shower and my family coming. There's going to be so much going on' she said getting frazzled.
'Are Lottie and El coming?' He asked staring up at her.
'Lottie and her partner are coming but El said she couldn't make it which is annoying' Saf said frowning.
'At least Lottie is coming' He said smiling.
'Yeah and she's being her man that she's been talking about. They've been together for 6 months now. I'm excited to meet him' She said clapping her hands together.
'My love why don't you come and sit down, I can make dinner, we can watch a movie. Just relax. You've got a big couple days coming up' he said smiling patting the couch again.
She ignored him and wandered into the kitchen to grab a snack and her water bottle. She was usually pretty shit at drinking water but she knew that while she was pregnant she at least needed to be drinking 2 litres of water per day. She was getting pretty good at it too. Max had bought her a 1 Litre YETI water bottle because she only really liked cold water. He then made her download a water logging app so she could keep track of how much water she was drinking. She enjoyed entering how much she had drank and watching the water bottle fill up each time.
She finally sat down next to him and then swivelled in place resting her feet on his lap. She opened her bag of chips and proceeded to munch on them picking something to watch on Netflix.
'Hey I forgot to ask you' Max said turning his head to look at her.
'Huh?' She said still scrolling through Netflix.
'I said I forgot to ask you something' he said smiling at her.
She shoved more chips in her mouth 'yeah?' She said in between mouthfuls.
