'What is going on here?!' Charles exclaimed, hands on hips watching Carlos wander out onto the back deck with baby Cedric.
Saffron laughed looking over to Charles.
'You let him hold him first and not me?' He asked looking offended.
Saffron laughed rolling her eyes 'You can have a cuddle too Charlie' She said embracing him in a hug.
He smiled down at her 'comment vas-tu mon amour? (how are you my love?)' He asked kissing her on the cheek squeezing her shoulder.
She thought for a moment 'Um' She stammered 'Je vais bien. Comment vas-tu (I am good how are you?)' She said confidently.
'Je Vais bien' He chuckled 'you're getting much better' He said like a proud Dad.
She blushed before they took a seat on one of the outdoor lounges next to Carlos and Cedric 'I've been practicing when he sleeps' she sad and smiled down at the baby as did Carlos and Charles snapped a photo. Saffron pulled a face and Charles took another photo of her before laughing and showing her. Charles then put his phone down and put his arms out ushering for Carlos to hand over the happy baby. He sighed and obliged handing over Ced who was enjoying the popularity. As Charles cooed over the baby getting up to show him off to everyone Carlos turned to Saffron.
'How are you princessa?' He asked smiling over at her.
She was caught off guard by the pet name but decided to ignore it 'I'm doing good' She said smiling.
'Are you sure?' He asked looking concerned.
She nodded taking a sip of her drink.
'No you're not' He said scooching closer to her.
'What?' She asked alarmed.
'Saffron, I know our time together was brief but I know you like the back of my hand. Whats on your mind?' He asked.
She sighed playing with the rings on her fingers shaking her head 'just a few things between Max and I that we need to sort out' She said looking up at him.
'Well you can always count on me to be there for you if you need me. Just friends' He said putting his hands up innocently.
She smiled 'that's very sweet but I think we both know that's not a good idea' She said pursing her lips together.
'Why?' He asked.
'Seriously?' She asked.
'Yes why?' He asked pouting.
'Because of our history and I'm sure as you know Max is not the fondest of you' She said cocking her head to the side.
'Yes I know that. He has made that very clear' He said looking over at Max who was currently staring over the interaction that was happening.
'Exactly' She said taking a sip of her drink.
She was about to say something else when she was called over by Kika Pierre's girlfriend who was ushering her over. She smiled before turning to Carlos to excuse herself.
'We can talk later' he said smiling.
She smiled back and left leaving Carlos by himself. But not for long. As soon as Saffron was out of ear shot Max wandered over and took her place.
'Talking to my wife?' Max asked taking a swig from his beer looking over at Saffron.
'Yeah' Carlos shrugged looking at Max.
A silence crossed over them.
Max cleared his throat 'I think you should stay away from her yeah?' He asked.
