A knock at the door startled Saffron as she was packing her bag.
'Coming' she shouted getting up from the bed where she was folding her clothes.
She quickly wandered down the hallway. She got to the door and opened it 'sorry to keep you...' she said drifting off 'Charlie' she said slowly.
'Hey Saf' Charles said smiling 'Max home?' He asked 'he asked me to hangout at 3'.
'Uh yeah he's just outside in the pool with Ced' Saffron said smiling 'come in' she said closing the door behind him.
He smiled and wandered in placing his jacket on the dining chair in front of him.
'Did you want a drink?' Saffron asked.
'Yeah sure' Charles said.
She poured him a glass of water before wandering outside to Max who was currently showing Ced how to swim.
'Maxie' Saffron called out over the pool fence.
He turned his attention to Saffron.
'Charles is here' she said grabbing a towel from the table.
Max called out his acknowledgment swooping up Ced out of the water and handing him to Saffron. Saffron handed him a towel and grabbed Ced who was laughing. Max left to go inside and Saffron stayed to undress Ced and get him dry before carting him off inside for a bath.
Max had invited Charles over to talk about the Carlos drama. The drama that Saffron didn't know about. He planned to discuss it with Charles over dinner at a restaurant nearby. He promised to bring Saffron a treat when he was done.
Just her and Ced like always.
As she was dealing with a naked running Ced outside she decided to let him run around for a bit to tire him out. He was having fun running around without a nappy and she was happy to let him have fun. She smiled watching her little one run around. Enjoying the moment she was interrupted by Charles.
'Where's Max?' She asked.
'He went inside for a shower and to get changed' Charles said.
Saffron hummed.
The pair stood in silence for a moment.
'Everything okay with you and Max?' Charles asked.
Saffron was slightly taken a back. Had he known about her dream? Surely not.
'Uh yeah' she said 'why's that?'
'Just asking' Charles shrugged.
'How are you and Alexandra?' She asked.
'We are good. Good' Charles said flatly.
'Everything okay?' Saffron asked.
'Uh yeah' Charles said.
Saffron cleared her throat as the air became awkward.
'You haven't told Max right?' Charles asked.
'Are you crazy of course not' Saffron said.
'He's not suspicious at all?' Charles asked.
Saffron shook her head 'of course not. I think he was too consumed with what was happening' she said.
'Who was too consumed?' Max asked wandering up behind Charles and Saffron.
