"Alright time to meet your guys little sister" Remus says when they arrive at the hospital. Sirius gets out and unbuckles Sammy from his car seat.
"What was her name?" Leo asks looking up at Remus.
"Her full name is Astrid Kaia Potter but you can just call her Astrid" Remus explains while they walk into the big building and meted with James.
"Dada!" Sammy says running up to hug James. James hair is a mess and looks like he hasn't slept in weeks but it still seems like he's never been happier.
"James Potter father of three can you believe it" Sirius says walking over hugging him.
"No I can't but Sirius Black father of one sounds a bit weird too" James say letting go hugging Leo tightly. Sirius thinks for a second. He thinks about the fact that he's going to be someone's dad and how crazy that was.
"Can we go se baby now?" Sammy asks taking James in the hand dragging him.
"Yes of course" James says walking with one kid in each hand. When they get to the room Regulus is holding Astrid who's a bit upset.
"Hi papa" Leo says making him look over at them walking in.
"Hi baby come over here" Sammy runs over and James helps him up onto the bed and Regulus hugs him with just one arm. Leo walks over to the other side as James helps him again.
"Hi baby" Sammy says looking at her.
"Her name is Astrid." Leo explains to his little brother that doesn't even care a little. Sirius walks over and sits down as his feet.
"You alright?" He asks putting a hand on his lower leg.
"Yeah" Regulus replies. There eyes meet and Regulus feels some sort of comfort in his presence.
"Moon come see" Sammy says looking at Remus who stood a bit away not to be in the way. He walks over and sits down next to Sirius
"She's beautiful" Remus says looking at her. She has hair like James with long eyelashes. She's a bit chubby but in a adorable little way.
"Yeah almost seven pounds" Regulus says stroking Astrid's short dark brown little curls.
After it's just quite for a while before both kids want to be the first to hold her. While Leo has her in his arms Remus moves closer to Sirius putting a hand on his hip. Sirius and Remus has an eye on the kids if something were to happen but now she is just sleeping in Leo's arms quietly. Regulus takes James hand making James look at him. He's all pale.
"Maybe we could try to round of. It just hurts a lot right now" Regulus whispers into James ear.
(About a week later Astrid is home and both her and Regulus are alright. Sirius and Remus are having it nice too with a new niece)
Sirius wakes up looking at tho clock on his bedside table. 02:38. It hurts. Something is wrong he could feel it. He sits up looking around the dark room. There are some clothes he forgot to put away on the floor.
"Sirius are you alright?" Remus asks turning over sounding very tired.
"Mhm. I'm just gonna use the bathroom" He says. He thinks to himself how he's overthinking it. It's nothing he thinks to himself closing the door behind him. He moves his hand over the wall next to the door frame to try to find the switch. The lamps on but he looks away from it. He wipes him face with his hands, he's sweating like crazy. He looks at himself in there floor almost floor long mirror. There it is the big red stain. It gets hard to breathe.
"No no no" he whispers under his breath as he cry into his hands. Remus hear Sirius cry. Remus thinks to himself how it's probably something he did wrong. It felt like Sirius just blamed him for everything lately. He feels annoyed he's also trying his best during this hole pregnancy thing.
"Siri what's wrong can we take it in the morning we both got work." He knows he sounds annoyed when he said that.Sirius is currently sitting on the ground feeling the pain like he's getting stabbed in the stomach. Remus listens for a while trying to just wake up himself before having to comfort Sirius. He turns on the light next to him. The light is harsh on his eyes. He gets up and walk over to the bathroom that's connected with the bedroom.
"Sirius?" He says after knocking on the door with no response. He can still hear him sobbing.
"If you talk about it it's probably going to feel better" He says trying his best not to sound annoyed. It's now quiet. Remus doesn't seem to have a worry in the world.
"Hey can you just come out we can't do this right now honey" Remus hears what he had just said. He know he sounded mad but he just wants to go back to bed know everything's alright.
"I think I'm having a miscarriage" Remus freeze. He looks over at there bed seeing the blood stain on Sirius side. He just stands there while Sirius opens the door letting him in. He stand up and hugs Remus tightly. Remus hugs hugs him tighter. Remus feels tears running down his cheeks.
"We need to go in, we don't know what's happening they said everything was good" Remus says almost screaming thru his tears. Sirius is also crying. He knows they lost the baby. Leo, Sammy and Astrid's little cousin. Regulus and James first niece or nephew. The thing that hits him hardest is knowing he lost his husband Remus John Lupin's first kid.
(At the hospital around 03:57)
"Hey" Remus says sitting down next to Sirius bed after he woke up from the operation.
"Did everything go okay?" He asks tears running down his cheeks. Remus hugs him. It's more of a sad hug. They both know it's over now.
"No more baby?" Sirius whisper after a while
"No." Remus whispers back, hugging him tighter.
