Next day

Hanbin woke up and decided to fresh up before going to meet hao.

After dressing up he went downstairs and saw sora instead of hao in the kitchen, he thought hao might be in his room and decided to go to his room. He opened hao's room door just to be disappointed as it was the same when he came yesterday.

He started to get annoyed and worried at the same time since he didn't come back for a whole night.

He started to search his room thinking maybe what his mom said was true and hao ran away so he might have left a letter of goodbye or something.

To his disappointment he found nothing. It struck him then, he didn't check the cctv of the home, if hao really left he could check it when he had left.

He ran to his room and accessed the cctv and started playing the footage of yesterday.

He found it weird hao didn't go out the whole day despite him asking for his permission to go out.

Later he saw his mom entering the home and then nothing till he come. Nobody else came or left. He even checked the backyard cctv and other footages covering the house. Hao did not leave the house the whole day. Now hanbin started to feel uneasy.

If hao didn't leave the home then where is he?

He closed his laptop and ran to check the mansion again, he checked all of the corners of the house and then it hit him. The basement.

He sprinted immediately to the basement and turned on the lights to find nothing. He started walking back to his room while thinking of other possibilities when his eyes fell on areum's room.

How could he forget it? Hao was insisting from the very beginning he did not commit areum's murder, he even asked hanbin about her details. He would surely try to find clues from her room.

He went back and took her room key and came back. He took a deep breath and was about to insert the key when,

???: hanbin?

Hanbin looked back and saw his mom staring at him.

Hanbin- mom? What are you doing here?

Han/m- I should be asking you that hanbin.

Hanbin- I just missed areum.

Hanbin didn't want to reveal the truth of hao going missing and him possibly trying to look into areum's room of course, it would only make her hate him more.

Han/m- I understand you miss her hanbin, in fact we all do. But opening that room would only add more pain to your wound.

Hanbin- mom i-

Han/m- don't son, I can't see another child of mine being in pain. Forget her even if it is hard for you.

Hanbin- I will mom but just once, it will be the last time I enter this room.

Han/m- it is for your own good that I'm concerned about.

Hanbin- I know mom. Don't worry I won't make you feel concerned about me a lot.

Hanbin turned around and attempted to open the door again when suddenly the key was plucked from his hand, he looked up to see his dad glaring at him.

Hanbin- dad what-

A slap sound echoed the hallway.... Hanbin's face was turned to left side..

Han/f- are you gone mad? Can't you see what your mother is trying to tell you, it's for your own good, look at her you made her feel humiliated by not minding her words, does she not have any value, her words don't mean anything to you?

Hanbin looked up at his dad and turned to look at his mother, her eyes were teary. She immediately turned her head away.

Hanbin- mom... I didn't mean to disrespect you.

Han/f- but you just did. You wouldn't do anything against her if you respected her.

Hanbin's mom left from there.

Hanbin- dad i-

Han/f- come with me

He left saying that. Hanbin followed him to his office.

Han/f- come here and sit after locking the door.

Hanbin nodded and locked the door and sat infront of his father.

Hanbin- dad why did you call me here?

Han/f- do you know what you just did? You almost pushed yourself into a deep pit.

Hanbin- what?

Han/f- look it's not as simple as it is. I found out your uncle jaeho is continuously receiving huge sum of amount from our family, I did not find it weird since I thought he needs money so your mom gave it to him.

But strangely your uncle behaves a lot weirdly recently like meeting up with your mom a lot outside so I kept an eye on both and found out something.

Hanbin- what did you find out dad?

Han/f- areum was killed, but the one who killed her was your uncle, jaeho. The one who paid him to kill her was your mom.

Hanbin was pushed into disbelief, he couldn't believe what he just heard.

Tears started streaming down one by one from his eyes, his throat felt strangled. Areum the one he loved the most, cherished the most was killed by his own mom? Then... hao was saying the truth?

Hao, shit.

He looked at his dad with terror.

Hanbin- dad hao, he is missing. I didn't see him from yesterday after coming back from office.

Han/f- what? Why didn't you tell me sooner?

Will they find out what happened to hao?
But why were hao's parents involved in this mess?
