chapter 30

Hanbin was on his way to the location which after reaching he noticed was apparently an abandoned construction site.

He called out his dad's name but there was no response, he decided to check the place and started checking every room till his phone pinged and he saw a message from his mom asking him to come to fifth floor of the building. He sighed and went up and as expected she was there along with his dad tied up.

han/m- you finally came

hanbin's dad looked up in pain and said
han/f- why did you come, get out fast!

han/m- what's the rush honey, let me speak to my son myself.

hanbin- what do you want? why did you ask me to come here?

han/m- straight to the point i like it. anyways, i need you to sign these documents and then hand me the evidence and you can take your dad away.

hanbin- what are these documents? he asked while looking at them.

He started to read them and scoffed in disbelief and threw the papers away

hanbin- is this a joke? transfer the properties to your name so you could destroy them huh? and that not being enough you want the rights for being the next in line for handling the company? that can't happen. I won't let you destroy the company and our properties.

han/m- so you wan't your dad to die i see...
she picked up a small knife and moved towards his dad and slowly placed it on his neck while staring right at hanbin

han/m- you were stupid enough to come here alone, and go against me by not doing what i want. And even more stupid leaving your partner alone....

Hanbin started panicking at the mention of hao

hanbin- hao? what did you do to him?

han/m- oh i certainly didn't... but your dear girlfriend did, now we don't want him to get hurt because of you right? sign and save your partner hanbin or lose both your dad and him.

hanbin didn't want to become weak but tears started flowing down his face. He shouldn't have left hao alone.
hanbin sighed and said,

hanbin- i'll sign let dad go
he picked up the papers and one of the men passed him a pen, he hesitated but signed them and gave it to her, she looked satisfied and nodded.

hanbin walked towards his dad to free him when one of the men stopped him, he looked at his mom in confusion.

han/m- you didn't think i'd let you go after you and your dad both are aware about my secrets did you? neither will your partner survive.

hanbin- i knew you'd play dirty. what can i expect from someone who killed uncle because he let your dark secrets out to us.

Before she could comprehend anything hanbin spoke, cops surrounded them and immediately locked the men and her.

hanbin's mother looked at him in anger

han/m- you bastard!! i should have expected you not coming without a backup

she scoffed but smirked at him and said,
han/m- but you lost.... hahaha the property and company is mine! and even hao won't survive, the whole family of zhang's is gone.

hanbin- the sign is not mine and no hao is gonna survive.

han/m- huh? she looked at the papers on the ground and indeed she was too excited to miss out hanbin not doing his original signature.

hanbin- with this your story ends mom... you won't come out for this lifetime for what you did to areum and neither will i forgive you for being the reason of hao's parent's deeath. Rot in jail.

the cops started dragging her away as they had all the proofs to lock her up. hanbin immediately went to his dad and untied the ropes and helped him stand up.

hanbin- dad... let's get you treated first..
han/f- hanbin.. what about hao?
hanbin- don't worry dad. there's someone who will take care of him till i get back home.
han/f- who?
hanbin- i'll tell you everything later now let's go.

hanbin took his dad to the hospital and had him treated on his wounds after which hanbin dropped him off at his house. Though hanbin had insisted on taking his dad to hanbin's mansion his dad was adamant on going to his own house rather and assured hanbin that he would be fine with the maids taking care of him and instead asked him to go back to hao soon.

hanbin came back to his mansion and as expected the guards were alert. he went inside just to see ruby fallen on the floor unconsciously and ??? and hao were nowhere to be seen. he called ??? and heard the ringtone coming from upstairs so he went to his room and saw hao lying on their bed with bandage wrapped around his head.

???- you're back
hanbin looked at him and said,
hanbin- thank you for looking after him.
??- ofc you're my dear brother afterall. and don't worry about him. I've treated him and thankfully i came on time and saved him.
hanbin- I owe you one.
???- do aegyo then if you want to repay me.
hanbin- alright enough take your ass out.
??? scoffed and stuck his tongue out.
???- i'm gonna go now, gotta party all night
hanbin just nodded at him used to him being dramatic.
