Love Me Sweetly

Chapter Seven

I take another sip to get familiar with the taste and I hear the loud applause from Roxanne. My cheeks hear up from the attention of all three people now. Since Beth has taken out her ear buds to take part in the events.

"Woop!" Roxanne exclaims while pumping her fist wildly in the air. "Now all we need is for Bethy here to take a drink." Roxanne raised an opened beer can to Beth's lips and Beth grudgingly pushes the can away.

"There's always tonight," Roxanne shrugs her shoulders and chugs the beer herself. Kyle and I laugh whereas Beth seems unamused.

Today will be interesting.

The rest of the time is filled with bad air hockey and Roxanne getting drunk out of her mind. I held on to my can of beer occasionally taking a few sips here and there. Although Kyle and Roxanne were both drinking Roxanne kept throwing back drink after drink. Even in her drunk state she still somehow managed to find the Stevenson's liquor cabinet.

When it was time to get ready for the party I wasn't even completely sure we were still attending. That is until and Kyle and Beth brought a drunk Roxanne in to the bathroom and returned with a slightly sober Roxanne.

"Come on guys," Roxanne says referring to Beth and I as she grabs her keys. No sooner than she grabs them are they snatched out of her hand by an angry looking Beth. In fact Beth has looked rather mad ever since Roxanne took that first gulp of beer.

Roxanne doesn't say a word when Beth takes away the keys. Looking at the floor like she's a child in trouble. Beth become me over and I follow seeing down my half empty can. I've only known Beth a week but seeing her like this makes me feel like she's a mom and today's actions have upset her.

The walk to the car is silent and the drive is just plain awkward. When we arrive back at Roxanne's, Beth walks straight up to Roxanne's room. She did around in Roxanne's closet for a while.

Roxanne true her way in looking like a sad puppy she goes up to Beth hugging her from behind. "I'm sorry Bethers."

It takes only a moment before Beth turns around and hugs Roxanne back. "Come on we have a party to get ready for."

Roxanne let's out a squeal of delight as she jumps around like a mad woman. She pulls out all of the pre-picked out clothes from last night plus more.

A couple hours later I find all of us as Roxanne calls it, 'beautified up'. Me wearing the black ripped skinny jeans from the mall and the cream colored crop top. My face looks completely flawless and bronzed with the makeup Roxanne used and my hair hangs in loos curls down my back. The only thing I got away with was wearing sneakers, black low chucks to be exact. Roxanne gave me the death glare when I walked out the bathroom wearing them, but I simply returned the look and the conversation was dropped before it was picked up.

Roxanne and Beth's look is however very different. While Roxanne is wearing a fire engine red short dress. Which might I add is super tight. Her ombre colored hair pin straight and makeup done to perfection, but since she did all of our makeup the same can be said for Beth as well. Even if she opted for as minimal makeup as possible.

Roxanne wears matching red stilettos which Beth and I are betting she'll be falling over in by the end of the night. Despite her outfit sounding slutty she actually makes it look classy. Overall she looks like a runway model, no scratch that a Victoria Secret model.

Beth looks pretty as well although more conservative, but pretty nonetheless. Her powder pink dress ending just below the ankles and covering up her chest. Her usually wavy hair now wanded in to glossy curls. She decided to wear black flats and her makeup is as subtle as Roxanne was willing to go, but looks amazing.
