The room was tense as Glenn, driven by determination, sketched a makeshift map on the floor. The group gathered, except for Rick, sought to comprehend the breach and fortify their defenses against the imminent threat posed by the Governor."Now you said you found Tyreese's group here?" Glenn directed his question to Vanessa and Carl, indicating a square he draw on the chalked floor. Vanessa nodded in confirmation, "Yeah. In the boiler room." Glenn looked back at the map, a bit confused, "We secured this."
Carl added, pointing to another part of the map, "He thought he came through here."Glenn absorbed the information, analyzing the vulnerability of their prison fortress. "Means there's another breach. Okay. The whole front of the prison is unsecure. If walkers just strolled in, then it's gonna be cake for a group of armed men."
Beth, ever hopeful, questioned the assumption, "Why are we even so sure he's going to attack? Maybe you scared him off." Vanessa, aware of the Governor's brutality, responded bleakly, "He doesn't seem like the type to get scared. Look what he did to Glenn, and Oscar... he has a whole army. We can't risk it."
Michonne, who had witnessed the Governor's gruesome trophies, added a chilling perspective, "He had fish tanks full of heads. Walkers and humans. Trophies. He's coming." Vanessa exchanged a worried glance with Carol, the gravity of the impending threat sinking in.
Glenn, fueled by urgency, proposed a drastic solution. "We should hit him now." Beth, startled, questioned the suggestion, "What?"
"He won't be expecting it. We'll sneak back in and put a bullet in his head." Carol immediately rejected the notion, "We're not assassins." But Glenn was resolute, determined to take matters into his own hands. He got up to walk towards Michonne, "You know where his apartment is. You and I could end this tonight." Michonne only sighed at that, not answering, "I'll do it myself." He tried to convince her. After a short moment, michonne nodded at him, "Okay." Glenn said walking back.
Hershel cautioned against such a rash decision, recounting the past consequences of hasty actions. "He didn't know you were coming last time, and look what happened. You were almost killed. Daryl was captured. And you and Maggie were almost executed," Hershel reasoned, trying to dissuade Glenn. "You can't stop me." Glenn said, walking towards the old man. "Glenn, look at yourself, you're not in any shape to fight, and we're not ready either. If we go there, we'll all end up getting killed. We'll be in his playground, he'll have the advantage." Vanessa tried to resonate.
Glenn, however, dismissed the concerns, shooting her an angry look. "I can handle myself. If you don't want to come, I'll go alone." The room brimmed with tension as the group faced the dilemma of whether to take preemptive action against the Governor.
"Rick would never allow this." Hershel then said. Glenn confronted the old man, "You really think he's in any position to make that choice?" Hershel appealed for rationality, reminding Glenn of the lives lost within those prison walls. "Think this through clearly. T- dog lost his life here. Lori, too. The men that were here. It isn't worth any more killing. What are we waiting for ? If he's really on his way, we should be out of here by now." Vanessa bowed her head, the mention of T-Dog and Lori reopening wounds.
Vanessa felt torn, caught between the desire to protect the group and the acknowledgment that their current situation was untenable. Glenn pushed back against Hershel's suggestions, "And go where?"
"We lived on the road all winter," Hershel reminded Glenn, highlighting the challenges they faced. But Glenn, recalling the hardships, retorted, "Back when you had two legs, and we didn't have a baby crying for walkers every four hours."
Vanessa agreed with Glenn on the impracticality of leaving, yet the uncertainty of their ability to defend the prison loomed. "We can't stay here," Hershel insisted. Glenn countered again, "We can't run."
