Heather:

Finally, classes were over. Now, I had to watch cheerleading tryouts. Noah was walking with Courtney and me to the locker rooms. Noah had always watched tryouts. He was a pretty good gymnast, he knew how to do a great cartwheel, and could do a pretty good handstand. But, he just liked watching so he could laugh at the girls who could barely do a split.

"Alright, c'mon. Also, you can sit at the table with us if you want, Noah," I offered, walking out with Courtney. "Wow, an upgrade from the bleachers, nice. Do I still have permission to laugh at the freshmen and sophomores?" Noah asked sarcastically. "Definitely. Now let's go. Tryouts start in 15 minutes, and I don't want to be late," Courtney told us.

We got to the field and sat down at the preset-up table. Courtney had her clipboard and pen ready and Noah had his Starbucks drink ready.

I glanced at my watch and the hour hand hit 3:00. We all looked up to the empty field. Noah scoffed and said, "They should try to be as on time as Courtney is." "I agree, talk about dedication," I responded rolling my eyes. "Let's just give them until 3:05. It is a long walk from the dorms to the field," Courtney told us.

We waited for five minutes and more girls came. One of them looked at us and stared at Noah. "What's that perv doing here?" She asked glancing at Noah. "Listen to me, I can make your life here a living hell," Noah said glaring at her. "Oh no, I'm so scared. What are you gonna do? Try fucking me, sweetheart?" The girl mockingly asked Noah. "Even if I wasn't gay, I couldn't lower my standards that much for you, sweetheart," Noah retorted, sneering at her.

Courtney and I snickered at the girl, while Noah sat back down and took a sip of his drink, smirking.

"Okay, girls, welcome to tryouts for the cheer team! Now before we get started, I need all of you to write your name and grade on the clipboard that our co-captain, Courtney has," Miss Kelly said walking over to us. "Um, Miss Kelly, I don't think it's appropriate for a boy to be watching tryouts." The same girl who tried picking a fight with Noah tried saying.

"Oh my god," Noah gave an exasperated sigh before talking to Miss Kelly, "Good afternoon Miss Kelly. Heather and Courtney said I could watch. I hope it's not a problem," Noah smiled at her. "Of course not, Noah. As long as we don't have a repeat of last year's 'situation'," Miss Kelly responded, narrowing her eyes at Noah when she said that last part. "Of course, Miss," Noah said sheepishly, rubbing the nape of his neck.

Courtney and I glanced at Noah as we all remembered the events from last year's tryouts

(Flashback)

"You call THAT a cartwheel? My dog could do better than that!" Noah called out from the bleachers.

The girl on the field who had fallen on her face, ran off crying.

"Noah, you can't say that," Courtney groaned.

"What? The truth?" Noah sarcastically asked.

"Noah," Miss Kelly said sternly.

"Sorry," Noah shrugged.

"If you say you can do a split, then I'm the emperor of China!" Noah continued to mock the next girl.

"NOAH!" Miss Kelly yelled at him.

"What? It's constructive criticism!" Noah called back.

Miss Kelly glared at him.

"Alright, I'll be quiet," Noah said sitting back down.

(End of Flashback)

"I still say that that girl was too sensitive and that she should've taken my constructive criticism as an opportunity to get better," Noah said sarcastically. "Anyways, write your name and grade on the clipboard and sit on the bench. We'll start with the freshmen," Miss Kelly instructed as the girls wrote their names on Courtney's clipboard. We saw Lindsay, Katie, and Kitty and smiled at them.

I pulled out the megaphone from underneath the table. "Alright! Let's start with, Amy!" I called out, looking up from my clipboard. I looked at her and saw that she was the same girl who was being rude to Noah. That might lower her chances of getting on the team.

"You can start when you're ready, Amy," Courtney told her, as Noah started the music. Amy started doing a HORRIBLE routine. Noah started laughing only to be sharply elbowed by Courtney, causing him to wince in pain but still laugh. At the end of Amy's routine, Noah started laughing even more, causing Courtney to elbow him again. He tried to submerge his laughter in his drink but failed.

"Thank you, Amy. You can sit down. Next, Sammy," I told her. I guess Sammy was Amy's identical twin. Noah had stopped laughing and started the music again. Sammy's routine was much better than Amy's. It looked like she practiced before coming here. Sammy's routine ended and got a round of applause from everyone except Amy, who only glared and rolled her eyes. "Nice, Sammy. Next up is, Taylor," I said. Ugh, Taylor.

"I don't even know why I have to try out anyway. I'm going to get on the team no matter what," Taylor complained. "Because if everyone else has to try out, so do you," Courtney said rubbing her temples. "You didn't have to try out," Taylor pathetically retorted. "We did. We came during the summer," Courtney snapped.

"Ugh, whatever. Start the music!" Taylor demanded yelling at Noah. "Hey! Who said you could talk to him like that?" Kitty asked angrily. "I did. I can do what I want, and you can't say anything about it," Taylor said harshly. Kitty winded up her fist but Noah stopped her. "Kit, it's fine. Don't ruin your chances cause of her," Noah said as he started playing the music.

Another pathetic attempt at a tryout. This is going to be a long day.
