The academies courtyard offered a tranquil escape as Elsie and I found a secluded spot to share our thoughts. The warmth of the sun painted a golden hue over the ancient stones, creating a serene atmosphere for our conversation.

"Elsie," I said, my gaze meeting hers, "have you ever considered leaving the Alvarez Empire? Venturing beyond these walls and discovering what lies beyond?"

Elsie's eyes reflected a determined glint as she nodded. "Yes, Y/n. I've often dreamed of a life beyond the academy, away from the medieval norms and expectations. A life where we can shape our destiny without constraints."

I couldn't help but resonate with her sentiments. "I feel the same way, Elsie. The academy has been a place of growth and camaraderie, but there's a whole world waiting for us outside. A world where we can be free to live on our terms."

Elsie's fingers traced patterns on the stone bench, her mind clearly lost in the possibilities of the future. "I want that too, Y/n. A life where our camaraderie flourishes without the influence of the Alvarez Empire. A life of magic and shared adventures we choose for ourselves." I noted Elsie moving her hand down to her stomach with an unusually long pause. "One in which a child can be raised with no looming danger."

I stopped for a moment at what she just had said. Was she? No way. She probably just meant it as an example.

As we shared our dreams, my hand found Elsie's, our fingers entwining in a silent pact. "I've been thinking," I admitted, "what if we leave together? Find a place where family and magic realms coexist harmoniously. A place where our camaraderie is the compass guiding our journey."

Elsie's eyes lit up with excitement, and she squeezed my hand in agreement. "I love that idea. A new beginning, a medieval adventure crafted by us. Just you, me, and the magic that binds our hearts together."

In that courtyard, a sense of liberation filled the air, promising a future where Elsie and I could venture into the unknown, shaping our destiny beyond the constraints of the Alvarez Empire.

The sun now at its highest, casting a warm glow over the courtyard as Elsie and I immersed ourselves in dreams of a future beyond the academy. As we discussed our plans, the click-clack of approaching footsteps interrupted our adventurous reverie.

Turning to the source of the sound, we found Irene, Elsie's mother and a formidable enchantress, standing there with a knowing smile. Her presence added an air of wisdom to the academies atmosphere.

"Planning your next adventure, are you?" Irene's voice held a playful undertone as she joined us on the bench.

Elsie blushed, a mix of embarrassment and excitement. "Well, we were just talking about the possibility of leaving the academy, exploring the world together."

Irene's gaze shifted between us, her eyes gleaming with a blend of maternal pride and amusement. "You two have completed your first year at the academy with flying colors. It's time to return home, with me."

Elsie and I exchanged surprised glances, the reality of graduating sinking in. I couldn't help but feel a mix of anticipation and nostalgia for the familiar yet strange surroundings of home.

Elsies mother or rather her copy, as Irene felt truly like a mother and mentor and her enchantment had proven itself, everyone thought she's a real person.

Irene, patting Elsies head who now had grown to the same height as her copy, I couldn't differ them off each other even if I tried, the only way was by their smell, one had the scent of a dragon and magic, the other of a human."You've both grown immensely," Irene continued, her tone filled with warmth. "The medieval academy has shaped you, but now it's time to embark on the next chapter. Your camaraderie will undoubtedly face new challenges, but with each other, you'll overcome them."
