Amelia stood up, putting the ring box in her purse; "Caroline I have no idea but maybe it's best we get out of here?" Amelia said walking back to her truck. Caroline stood there on the overlook, watching as the object fell, "You go, I'm gonna go checkout whatever that object is" Caroline says turning to go mount her horse and rides out to the destination of the crash.
It was a rough ride but thankfully for Caroline she had rode these trail's multiple times so she knew all the trip ups and all the shortcuts. As she approached the crash she dismounted her horse and carefully approached the crashed object; "What are you you?" Caroline said whispering to herself as she carefully wiped some dirt off the side revealing the words A,E,G but those were the only letters she could make out, Caroline backed up and proceeded to take a picture of the object which appeared to be a satellite. After Caroline took the photos she looked at her watch "crap, I'm late" Caroline said to herself as she placed her phone in her pocket and got back on her horse and rode home.
Meanwhile back at the ranch Adam and Jacob, (Caroline's older brothers) where in the living room watching TV when power cut out. "What the, Dad the you forget to pay the electric bill?" Adam said standing up checking on the TV. Roger set down what he was doing and went to have a look; "I could've sworn I paid?". Roger then decided to check the junction box to see if something got fried, as he walked outside he saw Amelia's truck pull into the driveway "Hey Amelia, you here for Caroline's birthday?" Amelia fidgeted a bit not wanting to say anything that might make Roger suspicious; "Uh yeah though we just saw each other at the overlook, oh did y'all see a weird energy wave?". Roger stood there confused "I'm sorry what?" Amelia looked confused as to why Roger didn't notice it "Uh nothing" Amelia said before walking inside and giving Susan a hug. Amelia is one of Caroline's oldest friends from school in Aspen Colorado and is very close with Caroline's family.
Caroline had just gotten back and stabled her horse before heading inside "Hey there you are, your late" Roger said in a not so scolding voice. Caroline rubbed the back of her neck; "I'm sorry, I was at the overlook and saw this weird energy wave and strange object fall from the sky so I went to check it out". Caroline said trying to keep her cool; "Well anyways, happy birthday sweetheart" Roger said giving Caroline a hug and going back to checking on the power.
When Caroline walked inside she was met with surprise when everyone said happy birthday, her parents gave her a hug, followed by her brothers and finally Amelia walked up and gave Caroline a hug "I've got something special planned for you tonight" Amelia said whispering in Caroline's ear. Afterwards the family and Amelia sat down for dinner, Ding dong "Who's at the door at this hour?" Roger said standing up and walking to the door, "Jimmy how you doing, what brings a Sheriffs deputy here; wait did Adam or Jacob do something stupid again?" Jimmy laughed "No, none of those in fact I came to tell you about some energy wave and it's got power lines down so Sheriff is making sure the ranchers are safe, take care". Roger closed the door and went back to the table. A few hours later; "Hey, mom dad I'm not feeling good, I'm gonna turn in early thanks for the party tonight" Caroline said before heading upstairs, Amelia took that as her cue and dismissed herself before heading outside and sneaking upstairs from the outside wonder. Caroline smiled as she saw Amelia climb into the room as she changed into her nightgown and climbed into bed with Amelia and the girls fell asleep.
Later that night as everyone was asleep Caroline woke up from a nightmare, she carefully climbed out of bed as to not wake Amelia but when she stood up; she realized time had frozen around her "What's going on?" Caroline thought to herself, as she looked in the mirror she noticed she was wearing a flaming gown, "Awaken Daughter of Fire, Awaken and claim your birthright" then Caroline sat up in her bed, everything back to normal, Amelia stirred a bit but was still fast asleep, Caroline wrote a note and placed it on her nightstand before going back to sleep.
Meanwhile, several miles away from Caroline; "Director one of our Satellites went dark over Jackson Wyoming, want me to deploy a strike team?" Suddenly a gruff looking man walked up to the monitor "Negative, get Agent Moore on the line and tell her to get a small collection team down to Jackson Wyoming, we found her". The director said walking into his office.
