Jason's POV:

I've been staring at the ceiling for what feels like hours, just trying to fall asleep..... but I can't. Whenever i close me eyes i see those men... except, we didn't get away this time. I also can't stop thinking about that text. It's currently 2:37 AM and the only thought that runs through my head is....Who the hell is after her?

My thoughts are disturbed by a loud scream coming from my bedroom.. followed by more. I jump up from the couch and run to my room. As open the door i turn on a small light. I see Jade tossing and turning in my bed as she's saying somethings.

I run over to her and place my hands on each side of her face. "Jake no!" She suddenly screams and i try to wake her up by softly shaking her "Flower!" She opens her eyes and gasps. I immediately pull her into my arms as she starts crying. I start whispering in her ear "It's okay... you're okay... i'm here".

She tries to talk "They.. i-i don-.. he was goi- he" "You don't have to tell me... it's okay." I say softly. She sighs as she tries to catch her breath "thank you" she says after a while. i smile "you're welcome Flower" my heart does a little backflip when i catch her blushing. She then yawns as she leans her head against my chest. "You should go back to sleep.. you're tired" she hums in agreement and lies down under the covers again.

I go and stand next to the bed. As soon as she's comfortable, i bend over and kiss her forehead. "Goodnight Flower" i start to make my way out of the room but Jade grabs my hand. "Will you stay with me?" My breath hitches in my throat as i stand speechless for a second. "Yeah... of course" i walk over to the other side of the bed, climb under the covers and lie down on my side. She turns towards me as she smiles. Then she suddenly moves closer.... So close that our chests are touching. I wrap my arm around her as she places her head on my bare chest. "Okay?" I ask her as i kiss her head. She exhales "okay." Her breathing steadies as she drifts to sleep. A new thought is now running through my head.... Who's Jake?

Jade's POV:

I wake up with an arm tightly wrapped around my waist and my head resting on someone's chest. I slowly open my eyes and meet a pare beautiful ocean eyes. A smile makes it's way onto my face "good morning" i whisper and he smiles "morning... sleep well?" He asks with a raspy morning voice...hot "That might have the best sleep of my life" i reply honestly. He smirks "good" i then raise an eyebrow as i ask "were you watching me sleep?" His lips form a thin line "maybe" i chuckle "that's low key creepy" "no it's not.." he smirks "yes it is" i reply and he chuckles, making me chuckle too.

My mind races back to last night... and the nightmare... Jake. That voice did sound familiar if i'm being honest... but it couldn't be him...right? He not even supposed to be in this country. No it's can't be him.

"Okay?" Jason suddenly asks "yeah..."
I say with uncertainty "you sure?" I sigh and give in "no" he wraps his ars tighter around me and rolls onto his back lifting me onto his chest so i'm lying on top of him. "You ready to talk about it?" I sigh... "I wouldn't know what to say" i say honestly "how about questions?" He asks and i raise my eyebrows "questions?" He smiles and says "it's something my mom and i would do when I didn't know how to talk about something or when i was scared... she would ask me questions and i'd answer." I smile "sure" i say "Let's start with fun questions though." He smiles "okay" i smile back

"What is.........." He thinks for a second "ooh! You're favourite band?" He asks and i smile brightly "Why don't we.... Without a doubt. Been a limelight since the start." I say proudly and he smiles "guess i'll have to check them out then huh?" He says and i nod aggressively making him chuckle.

"Favourite memory?" He then asks and i smile again "one time it was late at night, like 2 AM... and me and Nicky were staying at Sam's house.. my coworker, you saw her Monday. But we decided to go for a walk and it stared raining.. so we ended up dancing in the rain somewhere in the middle of nowhere." I smile as i think back to that memory "yeah that's definitely my favourite memory" i say and look up at him resting my chin on his chest. He smiles. "Sounds wet.... Yet awesome" he says and i chuckle

His smile then disappears as he looks away for a second... taking a deep breath.. "who's Jake?" He asks and my smile drops.. along with my heart. My breathing grows heavier and my heartbeat increases. "Hey, hey, i'm sorry never mind I shouldn't have asked" he rambles on as he wraps his arms tighter around me "no no... it's okay... i think i'm ready to tell you...." I say and he nods understandably. I take a deep breath "where do i start" i say as i exhale.

I tell him everything... i tell him about that night in my house.. about the stalking and the messages. I tell him he had to spend a week in jail and moved to the other side of the country.... I tell him everything while Jason rubs small circles on my back with his hand as i feel tears spilling onto his chest.

When i'm done Jason takes my face in his hands and rubs my tears away. "I'm so sorry that happened to you" "don't apologise... it's in no way your fault" i say "i need to tell you something.... But I don't want you to freak out.." he says and i raise my eyebrows "I wasn't going to tell you.. because i thought it was just some prank... but i'm not so sure now" he grabs his phone "why.. what happened?" I ask him he sighs as he unlocks his phone "i got a text yesterday night from an unknown number while you were getting dressed" he says as he hands me his phone.

Unknown: i know where she lives...
Jason: who is this?
Unknown: you can't hide Jade from me, i'll find her... eventually.
Jason: who the fuck is this!?

"He blocked me before i could ask further" he says and i feel my body start to shake as tears threaten to spill. Jason throws his phone away and takes my face between his hands "i'm not going to let anyone hurt you." He says and brings me against his chest. "He knows where i live..." i say "he doesn't know where i live... you can stay here" "are you sure?" I ask "yeah... i'll take you home today so you can get your stuff okay... i'm not comfortable if you're at home while this guy possibly Jake knows where you live" he says "okay?" I exhale and steady my breathing as i reply "okay"
