my head was spinning at the words she just said as she put the hoodie on and looks down

"maddie...what the fuxk do you mean he'll hurt you?.."
i said quietly

"f-father got mad...he saw lani kiss me and he went insane...he's never hit me this much before..usally it was once or twice...now it's everyday...and if joushua says i'm bad hu hurts me even more.."

i sigh and hug her as i hold her

"how long has he been doing this?"

she sniffs..

"for as long as i can remember...he wanted a perfect child...and that's what he raised..b-but then lani came along...and i'm not supposed to like lani because she's a girl.."

the joushua boy comes in and when he sees me he smiles "hello" he says before kissing maddie and putting her in his lap

"you missed my game?" he says obviously annoyed with her

"i had school today and i-"

"your dad switched your saturday school to sunday madison"

she looks down and he rolls his eyes "so you not know how embarrassing it was to be the only guy there without his girlfriend?"

she sighs
"i'm sorry i-"

"did i say soeak?"

she looks down and shakes her head and i clear my throat and he looks up

"oh sorry, and who are you?"

he smiles and nods

"sorry just alittle upset i really wanted her there, i'll let you two talk and i'll go talk to me lockwood"

"No!" maddie said sitting up onto him quickly and kissing him

"a-stay p-please and c-cuddle?.."

"you have company maddie"

"i can talk to kenzie k-later she l-live close"

he smiles "are you sure?" she nods and gets up "i'm gonna walk her downstairs i'll be right back"

he smiles like he just won a war and she grabs my hand and pulls me out and types in her phone

"meet me tonight at the park and we can talk...i'll sneak out"

i nod and hug her as she walks me out

and when u got home

i told kalani every little thing i knew
