6- Hide and seek

Have you ever been so scared? Afraid? Well that's how I am right now.

I'm sitting in my closet with my knees to my chest, drawing.

Why?

Because my dads drunk, really drunk, sometimes he completely forgets who I am. Especially when he's mad with me.

My phone vibrated and I checked it. 

Kalani: Hey..Can I come over? Everyone's pissing me off right now...and I just smashed my moms phone.

Maddie: I can't right now kalani, maybe later? 

Kalani: Yea..sure

I turned it off after that last text was sent

And as my dad and his slurred words came closer

"Madison! Let's play cards!"

I didn't move
Let alone breathe

But like always
I hid
He seeked
And he found

My emotions were out of range
School is going horribly
Kenzie doesn't understand because she's a cheerleader and at the top of the food chain
I'm a dancer
But I'm was at the bottom with the worms and larva

I had broken my moms phone
And scared the crap out of her and Kenzie

My feet had been cut from walking on the glass I  broke..but I didn't care I just didn't care about anything at that moment in time

Kenzie managed to get me to my room
And made me wash my feet

"Can I touch you l-"

"Don't"

She nods

"What will make you calm down?"

"Maddie"

She nods and looks at me

"Text her?"

"It's not her day that she's allowed company she's gonna say no"

"Well text her, you never know"

So I did

Like I thought she said no

But usually she talks way more

She'll say she'll call me in ten

Or she'll FaceTime me

She didn't today

I looked at Kenzie
And then at my phone

"I'm going to the beach."

"Can I come?"

"No"

She sighs

"Okay"

as the night went on
The night went wrong
And Madison called kalani at 10 pm as kalani sat on the beach.

"Lani, please come get me..I'm scared."

Kalani, half asleep with sand on her pants

Jumped awake and raced to her best friends house

And just as she arrived

She heard a loud aching scream

"DADDY STOP! IM SORRY!"
