Jake's POV...
'I hope no one saw that...' I thought. Anyways, I'm Jake, a highschool vampire-siren hybrid. I'm also known as a basilisk, but everyone thinks that they are myths. I haven't told anyone, not even Sean, because I'll be captured if anyone knows. I have to live off of blood, so school is usually a big struggle to 'find food'. It isn't all bad, though, since the siren side of me can control water, or hypnotize someone while singing (only on command). The thing is, I look completely human, until I touch water.
'whatever sound a bell makes'
'Shit I have to meet the music club' I ran to the music room, but the only person there was Sean. "Hey hon!" The black-haired senior said.

Sean's POV...
"Hi Sean!" The peach-haired angel gave me a gentle hug. "Jake, do you want to come to the waterpark with me and the others? It'll be fun!" I asked. "NO- I mean, no I can't, sorry, my parents won't let me go..." Jake was acting weird. Really weird. "Jake, is there something you're not telling me? I've realized how you come with us anywhere but places based on water?"
"Yeah, actually, there is, but you have to promise not to tell anyone..." He said. Jake looked really nervous and hungry, but I wasn't going to say anything. "Come with me to the beach after you get back from hanging out with the club." "Alright, see you then?"

At the beach (Jake's POV)
I know that this is a really bad idea, but I can't turn back now. As I'm lost in panic, I hear Sean walking up to me. "Hi Jake, what did you want to tell me?"
"I'm...uh...not normal?" I stuttered.
"Jake the fuck do you mean you're not normal?" Sean said with a concerned look.
"I'm..not completely human?"
"Jake what do you-" I cut Sean off out of fear.
I dragged Sean into the ocean with me, hoping he would be able to breathe. I closed my eyes while tearing up as I slowly transformed into my basilisk, monstrous self. As I started to cry, I heard Sean whisper, "You're not alone in this, man, don't worry, I hope we both can keep secrets." As I opened my eyes, I looked into the eyes of the most thing I would ever see.
He was right about not being alone, because when I opened my eyes, I saw the most stunning, beautiful half-kraken I had ever seen.(help i feel so cringe) "We can't tell anyone about this, right" We jinxed.
"For sure, if people knew about this we would be turned into scientists that study the sea. I hope that we both can keep this a secret. If we can't, we most likely can't be together- I MEAN SEE EACH OTHER AGAIN-" Sean turned into a blushing mess.
"Don't worry, I like you back, like a lot, but yes, we need to keep everything a secret. We specifically can't let the music club know, they have always hated 'mystical' creatures and if they saw us, then we would most likely be dead." I managed to say. I was starting to get hungry, but I tried to hide it so I wouldn't hurt anyone, especially Sean <3.
Before I knew it, we started talking about each other's problems, like Sean's family issues and how I recently relapsed into self-harm because of leaving the Jomies/Dromies. We both had things to talk about, and we ranted to each other for hours, that was until we saw someone enter the water.
