Chapter 1: New Surroundings

Yes I know it's nearly the end of the month and I should've had this up three weeks ago I'm sorry.

His head was in a whirlwind of pain.

So much so that he couldn't remember the last thing he did or where he last was before conking out.

After taking a moment to regain consciousness a boy's eyes opened, revealing them to be red as it was Alex.

Currently he was laid down on a plain grey bed in a dimly lit room that had said bed, a table and chair, and a mirror.

The boy slowly sat up, holding his head in pain as he groaned a bit.

As he did, he heard a voice off to his side.

"Seems you're finally awake. Good to know you're alright." Said a female voice.

Alex looked off to the side and saw that sitting at the table was his sensei Raven who had her hood down, fully showing her hair and eyes.

"Oh. Sensei." Said the boy as he looked around and noticed his sword was no where to be seen.

Raven seemingly knew what he was looking for as she reached down and grabbed a large duffel bag as she tossed it to him.

"Here. I kept it safe with me. Would've been stolen if left alone." She said.

Alex nodded and thanked her, standing up and he pulled out his sword and hooked it back onto his back.

"How long was I out for?"

"Hmm...I wanna say about two weeks and a half."

"Damn. What the hell did I do?"

"Huh. The fight was that rough wasn't it?"

"Hm?"

"Long story short, you tried to escape Serpent Quarters pretty soon after you were brought here. You managed to get all the way out to Arc City before you were eventually tracked down and subdued by Ms. Raiden."

Upon hearing Mei's name, Alex merely rolled his eyes and groaned as that was when his memory started to come back to him.

He and Mei alongside Tesla had went to Nagazora to find Kiana.

When they did, they has found out that she was horrifically badly infected by the Honkai, so much so that she only had a few months left to live.

Shortly after that, Mei had accepted a deal with the World Serpent's Sire, Kevin Kaslana, that promised Mei that they'd keep Kiana safe from future threats so long as she became the Herrscher of Thunder once more and defect to their side.

After a duel in which she bested Kiana, Alex would run into her afterwards as the two got into a battle themselves.

Mei once again would win, leaving Nagazora with Alex.

After that, the boy had awoken and without even questioning where he was, immediately took action and escaped out into Arc City, coming across a sudden horde Honkai Beasts and then Mei herself who had been sent by the Serpent to retrieve him.

The two had dueled with Alex giving it all that he had to fend her off but once again, Mei would end up victorious and dragged him back to the Serpent's Domain.
