After getting off the flight, Tessa and I rushed to the bag rolling area, grabbing our suitcases. Tessa's was a pink suitcase with flowers all over it and mine was a red suitcase with a star on it that displays my name on it.

Jessica walks to the front of the airport door and then turns to Tessa, who walks in right after her. She looks toward Jessica and Jessica happily looks back at her.

"I am so excited to embark on this journey!" Tessa exclaimed, looking at me again.

After she looks, the yellow taxi car pulls up, the driver opening the door while I hop on into the car.

After she looks, the yellow taxi car pulls up, the driver opening the door while I hop on into the car.

"Where to?" The driver asked us.

Tessa handed him the paper with the building's address on it. The driver takes one look and nods, turning his body back to the front window as he inserts the address, word for word into the GPS installed in his Taxi.

"So, Jess!" Tessa said. "Do you know what concerts they have right now?"

    "No." I said. "Who's performing?"

I groaned while she listed the names of people performing in New York this summer.

"I am so excited to see all of them!" Tess exclaimed. "AHHHHHHH!"

I was never a concert person. I was more of a traveler for the monuments and the way the locations were designed. I liked looking out on the exciting landmarks that were once placed here from the people before us.

"Tess," I tried to calm down her excitement just for a moment. "How about we just enjoy New York or the monuments this summer? We can go to more concerts together when we get back to California."

A concert you can go to from anywhere. These monuments and landmarks you can only see here.

As Tessa folds her arms and goes silent on me, the Taxi all of a sudden stops and I looked out the window to see the same building in the hotel picture that Tessa printed out for us

"That'll be $35." The driver said.

Tessa handed him a crumpled up handful of one twenty and three fives, leaving him no tip. After Tessa got out of the car, I handed the driver a $10 tip for him, leaving after her.

"What are you waiting for?" Tessa asked us. "LET'S GO INSIDE!!!"

The concierge from the hotel walked outside and opened the trunk, grabbing the suitcases from the trunk of that taxi. I walked away from the taxi and into the hotel, looking at how beautiful it is.
