While I was getting myself ready for the concert, picking out what to wear so I stand out when I am in the floor seats. I sighed, looking at my clothes. Tessa walked in and looked down at the clothes I had laying out on top of the bed. She sighed and took a good look at the clothes as she saw the Jonas Brothers shirt she bought for me laying there. We got matching ones.
"You should wear the Jonas one," She said. "I think it would be perfect!"
"Okay!" I replied, grabbing the Jonas shirt.
I put the shirt on and then a pair of white jeans to go with the shirt. They don't exactly match but it's okay. I put on my baseball jersey from my years of high school in hopes it would somewhat match with the jersey he wore at the concert in New York. Tessa had the same idea and was also wearing her jersey. Her and I were matching right now.
"We look like twins!" Tessa shouted. "That's so cute!"
The only thing that looked different were our faces, our hair, our heights, and our shoes. Her shoes matched the shirt, while mine matched the jersey.
~
I arrived at the concert an hour later, going through the security and then getting my tickets scanned so I could enter the venue. Tessa and I walked around for a few and she rushed to the concession stand. The first thing she bought was the Jonas Brothers water bottle. Then, she ran over to the water fountain, getting as much of the water into the bottle as possible before we headed for the floor seat.
"This is going to be amazing!" Tessa exclaimed to me. "We're right in front of the stage! I am going to be only ten feet away from the Jonas Brothers!"
I sighed and rolled my eyes as I took a seat, waiting for the concert to start until I saw that the opening act was starting to play at the concert. I widened my eyes when I saw who it was.
~
"I feel so much lighter, like a feather... with you off my mind," Sabrina Carpenter started to sing. "Floating through the memories like whatever you're a waste of time."
I have been a fan of Sabrina Carpenter since I was fifteen. I absolutely loved her song Can't Blame a Girl for Trying for as long as I could remember. I was cheering and screaming the lyrics to the songs on her new album.
"Your signals are mixed, you act like a bitch!" I was screaming the lyrics with Sabrina as she kept singing the song.
A little while passes and Sabrina walks out to read the signs that were written about her. One of them said mommy on it and I rolled my eyes because I felt that it was so disrespectful to call Sabrina mommy.
As she started performing the next song, the security found me and they looked at Sabrina, and then back at me.
"Are you Jessica Orwell?" The security guard asked me.
I took a minute to pause. As much as I wanted to say no, I am under contract with Joe.
"Yes," I gulped
"Well, Joe requested for you backstage," The security guard replied.~
I walked backstage and I saw Joe and his brothers getting ready for the concert. I looked at Joe and then folded my arms.
"Hey, pretty," Joe said, putting his hands in my hair.
Instead of moving his hand out of the way, I had to let him play with it. Only Kevin, Nick, Joe, and I knew our relationship was fake. No one else knew. And no one else was supposed to know, as we signed a NDA.
"Hi, Joe!" I snapped.
"Aww, why're you so salty, Lovebug?" Joe asked me.
I looked over at the brothers and then right back at him. He ruined my one shot to see Sabrina Carpenter and he's acting like it's not a big deal?
"You made me miss Sabrina Carpenter," I answered. "How do I not get mad?"
He shrugged and then looked at his brothers. Kevin was tuning his guitar and Nick was adjusting the straps on his guitar so he could wear it around his shoulders.
"I'm sorry I made you miss her," Joe replied. He put his hands on my cheeks. "But I needed to talk to you."
"Well, couldn't you have waited?" I asked.
He shook his head and then sat me down next to him. I sighed and then he looked at me, leaning in for a kiss. Instead of rejecting the kiss and backing up, our lips touched. My eyes widened. He was a really really good kisser. No wonder Tessa is so madly in love with him.
"I am going to announce the relationship during I Believe," Joe said. "Is that okay with you?"
I shrugged. I don't remember that song very well, but I know Tessa would for sure. I sighed, and shrugged again.
"I don't remember that song," I answered. "I wasn't really a huge fan of you guys!"
Joe sighed and then paused, thinking about what he was going to say.
"I'll sing a surprise song then, okay?" Joe said, kissing me on the forehead.
I nodded and then I walked back to the floor seat, sitting next to Tessa as I got to hear the last song of Sabrina's setlist. Nonsense.
