I turned my body to see Joe Jonas and he chuckled, as he sipped his scotch on the rocks quietly. I sighed, turning back to the counter and the bartender while she shakes up drinks for other people. I downed my next glass of wine after seeing him.
"I'm not here because of you, Joe," I said. "I'm here because my best friend surprised me with a cruise out of nowhere."
He nodded and then asked for another round of Scotch. The bartender got it to him and then he turned his seat toward me again.
"Do you even know where we're headed?" Joe asked me.
I gently shook my head, hitting the table for my sixth wine glass. I am tapped out but Tessa can't see me tapped out this badly. Especially not in front of Joe, the guy she has been googoo gaga over since I met her.
"Well, we're headed to the Bahamas," Joe answered his own question.
There is no way Tessa could afford this without going into strict debt. I sighed and then chugged the glass of wine in front of her, leaving the bar so drunk I couldn't walk straight.

I wake up in a room that isn't even mine. I don't remember what happened last night, but it must've been bad if I woke up in someone else's room. I leaned forward and noticed that the bathroom door was closed, hearing the sounds of the sink running. I sighed, putting my head back into my pillow.
"How did you sleep?" Joe Jonas asked me.
I am in Joe's room? Tessa is going to be so angry at me for being here. Joe Jonas was always her dream, not mine.
I leaned forward again and looked at myself. I was not dressed in the same clothes I remembered wearing. My eyes widened as I came to realize what happened.
"I slept fine!" I answered, getting out of bed. I couldn't find my clothes anywhere. "Where the fuck are my clothes?"
Joe Jonas walked back to the bathroom, spitting the toothpaste out of his mouth and then cleaning off his toothbrush. He walked out of the restroom and then smiled at me as I was freaking out. He shushed me and then sat on the bed, signaling for me to sit next to him.
"They're in the bin," Joe Jonas answered, pointing toward the laundry bin. "They had wine spills all over them."
"Can I have them back?" I asked.
He smirked, and I believe it was at the thought of seeing me under those clothes. How did he even change me without waking me up anyway?
"Not yet," Joe answered my question.
"Why not?" I asked.
"It has wine spills," Joe said. "I can get it cleaned for you."
"Nice offer," I snapped. "But I can clean my own clothes."
I went through the bin to look for my clothes I had last night, but after searching through the entire pile, I looked at him, giving up on looking.
I turned around to look at him and he was holding them right there, dangling them in front of me. I went to try and get them from him, but he kept standing up and holding them over my head. Curses for being short!
"They say I'm short, but you're like a little one of Santa's elves." Joe laughed.
"Not funny!" I exclaimed.
Joe handed me my clothes back after a few more minutes of teasing. I rolled my eyes and then walked out of the room, letting the door close and slam on its own. I walked back to my room and saw that Tessa wasn't in there
