The smell of bacon drifts around my room and into my nose. I sit up and the beautiful scent of Peppa gets stronger . Nick cooks ? No. Juliette . Couldn't be. Getting out of bed , I go towards the kitchen . I can see mom cooking , not in her sketchy dark outfit but normal , mom clothes ?

" Mom ? "

She turns around .

" Y/n , sorry if I woke you . I just wanted to cook for yous "

Grabbing a piece of bacon and falling for that effect that moms have on food.

" Did you sleepover ?"

" Yea I did , I almost got caught when the police cars left but I saw you hugging a man ?Wanna tell me more about that "

She said it in an interested way , like she was trying to make up for all the years.

" oh yea , so you already know I became a detective , and I'm kinda dating my captain now "

She gives me a surprised look .

" well that's good . He looks a bit old though."

I nod silently with a yeeeah kinda look .

" Oh no, I wasn't judging or anything. Just interested . And the captain ?"

" I know right mom , she stole my captain "

Nick walks in fully dressed and also grabs a Piece of bacon .

" Where have you been ?"

" I was checking out if Kimura damaged Juliettes car.Why aren't you dressed ?"

" Sorry that bacon won me over . I thought Juliette was cooking " shit . Maybe I shouldn't have said that.

" Who's Juliette ?" Mom asks.

" She's my girlfriend , she's in a coma "

Mom gives another Surprised look.

" Oh Nicky sorry , what happened to her "

" Hexenbiest "

" Yous have been around hexenbiests?"

Mom was now facing us and I was snacking on bacon , watching silently.

" Don't forget the blutbad" I add with a mouthful of bacon .

Mom sighs and nods her head .

I walk away causing something between Nick and mom to go get dressed . I decided to dig in my suit case for clothes , I was getting sick of the same 4 outfits. I find an outfit and a bump in the smaller pocket catches my eye . I open it and I find my small packet of b*d . Shit . When did I get this . I look around to see if anyone was behind me . The pipe was right next to it . Shit shit shit. I shove it back in there and put my suitcase in the closet . Fuck fuck. I walked down the stairs and flinched when Nick was in his room behind me . Act natural.

" You ready "

I was so offguard that I flinched hard . So much for acting natural .

" Uh yes . Where's mom "

" Downstairs , we gotta go "

She was now cleaning the kitchen.

" Bye mom "

" Bye y/n , Nick ."

" you gonna be here when we get back " Nick says . He hasn't fully warmed up yet .

She nodded and we got in the car. All I could think about was the w33d in my room . Memories came back on how I got addicted . I was In a dark place when dad died and my friends weren't the best influences , neither was my charting boyfriend. It took a lot for me to pull myself out , meaning turning my life around by coming an officer .

" you alright " Nick says out of nowhere , making me jump again .

" Damn are you alright y/n? You seem jumpy "

" I'm alright don't worry "

" I know how you feel , a lot has been happening with Juliette then Mom . We're gonna get through this together "

" Thanks Nick "

He was right . Everything from my past was washing all over me again and it was a bit much .

We get out and another day of work begins .

We head to the scene and Sean , Hank and Wu are standing over a body .

I get a better look at the body.

" Oh shit , wasn't this ?"

" The detectives you handed the case over too yes "

" Detectives ?" Nick says .

" Yep two , the other ones hanging in the other room ."

" Oh for fucks sake ." I know I'm a detective , pose to be use to it but it still always gave the creeps .

" Why don't you hold on to your boyfriends arm for support ?" Nick teases as we walk in the other room .

" Boyfriend ?" Hank says loudly.

"SHUSH and yes."

Hank looks at the captain.

" Smooth one cap, thought you were to old for that game ." Nick and Hank smile cheekily while Sean and I were blushing .

" Haha , can we get to the body now " Sean said .

After examining the bodies , i talk to Sean while Nick picks up his phone .

"See you at the precinct?" I hold his hand . My heart would beat 100 times faster when I was around him. We had been dating for a while and I was starting to fall deeper for him. Even his name would give me butterflies.

" Why don't you come with me ? in my car " he suggests.

" Oh , you alright with that ? Is that allowed "

He puts his arm around me .

" Of course , I wanna get a coffee too so I'd love company from my girl "

I'm sorry what is this, six grade ? Just kidding , still hot .

" I would be honoured , as your girl of course " He gets in the car and I walk towards Nick who has a confused look on his face.

" What's wrong ?"

" Someone called me and didn't say anything "

" probably a prank call , I'm gonna go in the Captains car and get us a coffee , you want one ?"

" Yes please , stay safe "

I get in the car and Sean starts driving .

" So , you said your mother was visiting "

He gives a 'Aye' kind of look .

" Did I say my mother ?"

" Yea you did"

" Oh no , i was uh visiting a friend "

" Oh alright then ."

I connect my phone to his radio and I start singing while he laughs and enjoys . After a nice karaoke session , I press the pause button as we pulled up into the Starbucks and he ordered.

He hands me the four coffees and we continue a singing session until we pull up to the precinct parking lot. We sit there and he puts his hand on my thigh. I look down at his hand than him . He was now facing me .

" Forgive me y/n " Sean says as he grabs the coffees and put it on the floor in front of me .

" What"

Grabbing my chin with one hand , he brings his face forward and He plants a kiss on my lips . My eyes open wide and i can see him closing his eyes . It lasts for 7 seconds until he pulls away inches away from my face . His eyes go from relaxed to wide when he realises I never closed my eyes . He instantly pulls away .

"Crap , I'm sorry . I just couldn't wait any longer."
