Chapter 22

" Renards here , let's go y/n!" Nick called from downstairs . I was putting on my new shoes i got that morning and checked myself in the mirror .

Walking down the stairs , I see Sean standing at the door and Juliette and Nick walking to the car .

" Hi ." I say as I peck him on the lips .

" M'lady ." We walked to his car and got in .

He always drove with the stereo on the lowest and his hand on my thigh when he could rest it there . The few months I've been dating him , I felt he was beginning to soften towards me.

A muscular , captain of a police precinct who's in his 30s would seem a bit cold but that was the opposite when he was with me .

" Nick said we can meet him at the movies ." Sean said while massaging my thigh with his hand .

" Yep , what movie are we watching ?" I say while interlocking my fingers with his . His hands were way larger than mine so he kept squeezing my hand .

" I don't know , some scary movie about ghosts or something . He said you'll like it ." He started shifting in his seat a lot and scratching his neck after he said that .

I realised his movements and turned to him .

" Your scared aren't you ?" I say with a small grin.

" Scared ? What . Me . Noo. Why would I be scared of a ghost ." He said in a non convincing way trailing off after he said ghost .

" You are !"

"Am not ."

" Are too."

"Am not."

" okok. Out of everything , Why ghosts ? You deal with creatures and goblins all the time . I mean , no offence but you are a creature yourself ."

" Half actually , and creatures and ghosts are different things -WHICH , I'm not scared of ."

" hey hey no need to get defensive . I'll protect you during the movie . No ghost shall touch you ."
I giggle and he pushes my shoulder playfully.

We arrived at the cinema and see Nicks car and an empty park right next to it .

Nick and Juliette were buying the tickets and the snacks so Sean and I sat down on a couch next to a cardboard pop up of a new movie that was showing there .

After 10 minutes of waiting and me getting swatted away from Sean because of trying to play salon on his hair , they come back with the tickets and popcorn .

"Ok , room 7 ." He says while handing us  our stuff .

" We'll be in theatre 4 , if you need anything call me ."

I grab Sean's hand and we walk down the halls of movie rooms with the numbers on the top of the doors .

We find room 7 and walk in. It was pitch black and empty .

" oOoOoH scary." I taunt him and he leans in closer to me .

We find our chairs and sit down placing the popcorn between us .
