Chapter 14

I woke up around 9. I drag my self out of bed and go downstairs. Nick was sitting on the couch watching tv .

" Goodmorning sleeping ugly." He says .

I slump down next to him and we watch tv.

" Oh by the way I wanna take you to the mall today to get a dress for tonight."

"Excuse me ? What's tonight." I ask him.

" The captains speech."

" We haven't even talked since the Carly case."

" Give him time . Well it starts at 7 so why don't we go now so you can have a nap."

" That sounds amazing Nick."

We get ready and go to the mall. Nick was slowly dragging his feet, he hated shopping with girls. After hours of shopping I choose a short black dress with tied strings at the side.

We get home and I try on the Dress and Nick starts to realise the dress was really short.

" On second thoughts you're wearing a suit."

I give him a look and he puts his hand up in defence.

*AT THE HALL*

Nick was wearing a suit and a tie and Juliette was wearing a kind of longer version of my dress with some make up. I wore my favourite black glittery heels and my dress. The dress covered half of my thigh and I started to realise maybe this was a bit inappropriate. My hair was In a loose half up half down and only put on some mascara and lipgloss. As we walked in , we saw Wu and Hank sitting down . We join them and they are speechless.

" Y/n ! Looking stunning ." Wu says as he gets up to pull out my chair . I thank him and Hank gets up.

" I'm gonna go get yous a drink."

Wu was catching up with Juliette and Nick and I were talking .

" Where's Sean?" I ask him.

" He'd be behind the stage right now."

Hank came over with three new drinks. I drank it and squinted at the strong taste.

When the Time hit 7, Sean walked on the stage. He started talking and goddamn was I enjoying it. He was gripping both sides of the podium while leaning over it and he was reciting his speech in his normal voice . Even though he wasn't trying to be seductive it was really hot. I missed him. He made eye contact with me but couldn't bare to hold it. What the fuck. After 30 minutes , he was finished. While I was on my second drink , he walked over to us.

" That was amazing captain. Let me buy you a drink." Wu started .

" I thought they were free." He smiled.

" Which is why I'm buying." He says.

He looks at me and looks away immediately. What the actual fuck. I'm not one to make a scene but this pissed me off. He was chatting with Hank for a while and 4 drinks of wine gave me confidence to talk with him as I was going to walk up to him Nick grabbed my arm . I thought he was about to tell me off.

" Just don't lose your job alright?" I smiled and he let me go.

As soon as Hank got a call , I took my opportunity.

" Sean , can we talk." I walked up to him. I could see him looking at my fit surprised and nodded his head. I led him to the entrance away from anyone's ear shot then faced him.

" Are you ignoring me?" I started .

" What? No why?" He said , definitely not convincing at all.

" I think you are. You stood me up the other night , ignored me yesterday at work and now you can't even make eye contact with me now. You can tell me anything you know ?"
