♪"What Was I Made For?" by Billie Eilish ♪

"The snow's really strong" Hanbin mumbles, eyes focused on the road. Hao nods, sighing as he sees the traffic in front of them. The city lights are different from the streets in which Hanbin lives, The red and green lights reflect into thick lines against the glass of the car windows. The tall buildings with yellow lights look down upon them, their shadows invisible against the blazing snow. Not one soul is seen outside other than the people inside the cars, which stack next to each other in hopes of getting home as soon as possible.

Nevertheless, Hao couldn't be more comfortable, feeling the kind warmth of both Hanbin and the car.

Hao had never properly talked to the boy, and he is eternally grateful that none of this trip seems awkward to either of the boys. Hao places his head on the headrest comfortably while closing his eyes

"This will take a while" Hanbin whispers. Hao nods and hums at the same time, opening his eyes again

"I don't mind. It would be worse by bus" he answers and Hanbin laughs

"I guess I really am a saint" the younger replies to Hao's statement. Hao chuckles

"I guess so" he responds. He looks around, focusing his eyes while trying to look further than what the snow allows him

"Are you hungry?" Hanbin questions. Hao turns his head around before nodding at the boy

"Yeah. Why do you ask?" Hao asks. He feels the car swerve suddenly and catches himself before realizing that Hanbin is parking next to a well-known store

"Let's buy some food while we wait for the traffic to die down" Hanbin answers. Hao takes a moment before nodding with a light smile

"Sorry about being a burden, Hanbin. I didn't know that there would be so much traffic" Hao says, following Hanbin out of the car and onto the sidewalk. He closes his eyes in the hope of hearing Hanbin tell him that it's fine

"A burden? Hao, you'll never be a burden" Hanbin answers, patting Hao's back with a friendly smile before opening the door of the stoor, waiting for Hao to step inside before he does

Scratch that... Hao didn't want Hanbin to tell him that it's fine. Telling him that he'll never be a burden was 100× better.

Hao stepped into the store before letting out a sigh of relief as the warmth hit his body. He hears Hanbin do the same

"Thank god," Hanbin says with a laugh before walking around. Hao does the same, smiling at the thought of food to fill his hungry stomach

He paces around the convenience store, picking out a few things carefully before noticing that Hanbin is already patiently waiting for him. Hao quickly grabs one more thing, walking up the the man behind the register with a smile. He puts his things down before turning to Hanbin

"Give me your things" Hao demands

"Hm? Why?" Hanbin asks

"I'm paying for everything. Think of it as a thank you for helping me today" Hao says. Hanbin smiles lightly before handing Hao his things

As they enter the car after a few more minutes inside the store, Hao lets out one last shover before rubbing his hands against each other

"Cold?" Hanbin asks and Hao nods. Hanbin smiles before turning up the heating of the car. Hao nods to show his gratefulness before taking a bite of his pastry. He gives a satisfied hum before looking back at the streets, that is still home to the slow cars that occasionally pause from the traffic
