Hao had enjoyed many things as a child, such as playing with small cars that would move by themselves with a single push, or playing in the playground. That young boy would have never dreamt of the life that he now lives, dug up within his bed covers and not wanting to leave. Who knew he would be a homebody when he got older, watching a show that he pays no attention to in the span of several hours?
Still, Hao can stand up from the bed only if he is given a reason to. School, for example, or being called down for lunch. But today, he wasn't called out of his bed for either of those.
He is enjoying his time, wrapped up in the warmth of the bed, and even though the movie he is watching is sappy and boring, he doesn't feel any kind of remorse or regret for choosing this movie. But once he feels his phone vibrate constantly by the bedside table that is too far from reach to Hao's liking, he huffs and turns off the movie, groaning as he stretches to take the device
"What." he curtly said, phone nearly up to his ear
"Hao, you won't guess who I just saw!" Ricky's hyper voice sounds through the speakers of Hao's phone, causing him to flinch at the abnormally loud sound
"Ricky, not to be rude or anything, but I really couldn't care le-"
"I saw Jun"
Hao opens his eyes widely, fully awake by now, and jumps to hurriedly put himself into a better listening position
"Jun?! Where?"
"Calm down. He was with some girl at the shopping mall" Ricky answers calmly, his hyper voice gone and now sounding plain
"A girl? Were they flirting? What was she like?" Hao questions, practically pressing the phone to his ear
"Uh, I don't know. I didn't really see what she looked like. Anyway, you wanna come? I'm hanging out with Hanbin and Gyu-"
"I'll be there! Bye" Hao says, quickly ending the call and jumping up from his bed, clumsily changing while trying to fix his hair in a certain direction
A girl? A girl? Why? Who was the girl? Why would he hang out with a girl?
Hao wonders that, over and over again, the questions replaying in his head as he brushes his teeth, runs downstairs, hurries to the mall, and arrives there; the questions do not waver.
He doesn't know what he is doing. He knows that he is somehow trying to find Jun, but he doesn't know why. Didn't he just want to avoid him yesterday? So now why is he now seeking him?
He doesn't know, yet he continues. He jogs quickly into the mall, eyes roaming around with a determined face. It isn't difficult to spot Jun; the guy has bright blonde hair in a country where most people have black hair. It shouldn't be that difficult, right?
And indeed, he was right. Within two minutes of looking around the mall, while walking slowly, he does see a guy with blonde hair... holding a girl's hand.
Hao feels his breath hitch, slowly walking behind a tall plant, eyes scanning the two people. He doesn't know the girl. She definitely doesn't go to their school. Then again, it might be his sister. They don't look alike at all, though.
Hao feels his insides tighten as he carefully trails behind them, hiding between objects and people. He tried to stop himself. Jun's business is not his. Still, he couldn't help but be curious. He couldn't help but feel betrayed.
So he has time to hang out with some girl in public, but not with Hao?
"Your back is gonna hurt" Hao hears. The boy looks up from his hunched back position between a bench and a trash can. His eyes meet Hanbins. Shit... just great. Maybe Hao should have listened extensively and closely to who Ricky said was hanging out with him.
