What Are You Going To Do

Sasuke

Flashback nine years ago

I couldn't breathe. It felt like water was filling my lungs at a fast pace suffocating me as I stared at him. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. Standing in front of Mashi and I both was our older brother Itachi. The brother who was loving and caring. The brother who always made sure we were well protected was now holding his sword with blood leaking from it.

It wasn't his blood but the blood of our parents Fugaku and Mikoto along with the blood from every member of our clan. He had killed them all. He killed them and there wasn't a hint of regret on his face.

"Why aniki"? Mashi cried. "The two of you will know the truth one day. When that day comes come and join us". Were his last words before vanishing.

"Sasuke! Mashi"! Naruto and Hinata called out to us. Neither of us turned around to face them. We couldn't, we were both currently paralyzed in place the shock of everything being too much.

"Sasuke". Naruto was now standing in front of me his azure eyes filled with worry and concern. I don't know why he was here or how he knew he had to be here right now I was just glad he was. I hugged him immediately and cried into his chest as he held me.

Little did I know Itachi was protecting us. The three of us had been stolen from our parents when we were born and raised in the hidden leaf as their own. I don't know how they were able to fake a twin pregnancy but they did. When Mashi and I found out we left and never looked back.

I wanted to tell Naruto. I wanted to tell him and try to convince him to come with us but knew deep down he never would. Despite having mistreated him since the day he was born he's loyal to the hidden leaf. He believes one day that they'll all accept him as one of them and give him the acknowledgment he's been craving for for years.

They haven't done that though. Instead, they shipped you off to some prison without even having the decency to hear you out. Do you understand now Naruto? Do you understand just how awful that place is?

My head was down as the door to my room opened, I didn't need to look up to know it was her. She sat by me hugging me sideways with her head on top of mine. "It's ok if your scared". She said softly. "I'm more scared for him, he's a jinjuriki. There's no telling what they're doing to him".

"Then go get him. Go get him and bring him home where he'll be safe". "And what if he still wants to go back to the leaf after all of this"? "He won't, not after you tell him the truth".

"Mashi". She hugged me tight as tears formed in my eyes. "Everything will be ok"

Deidara

It took everything I had not to break down crying. My little brother was in prison and having God knows what done to him. Their labeling him a criminal, him of all people. It isn't fair. He doesn't deserve this not after everything he's done for them.

"Deidara". I looked up to see Itachi coming into our room. He had been gone for a week on a mission. "Your back". "What's wrong love"? He came sit next to me. On instinct, I straddled his lap hiding my face in his neck as he held me.

"Naruto was sent to Hozuki Castle". I whispered. "I'm so sorry". He stroked my hair. "Have my fathers come up with a plan yet"? "No, they want to see what Sasuke will decide first. I want to plead my case to him but he already knows how I feel".

"He does but I also know my little brother, he'll do the right thing. Just like you he misses Naruto and only wants him to be safe".

"But he isn't? He isn't safe right now Ita he's hurting. He doesn't know who I am and I'm so afraid that the same thing that happened to our dad will also happen to him". "I know". He held me closer. "I know but all we can do is wait right now. Don't worry you'll have your little brother in your arms soon enough".

Ino

Something didn't feel right. Everywhere I went there were hushed whispers. It's like they all knew something I didn't and were doing their best to make sure I didn't find out about it. I don't know how serious it was but had a bad feeling nonetheless.

I hadn't seen Naruto for a few days now and figured it might have something to do with that but he only leaves to go on missions or train with Master Jiraya. It didn't make sense. I turned the corner and saw Shikamaru and Neji talking with each other.

"Hey, guys". They turned their heads and both gained a nervous expression after realizing it was me. "Ok spit it out what's going on? Why is everyone whispering amongst themselves"?

Neji looked to the side nervously holding his arm while Shikamru looked to the side. "Neji". I said warningly. He spoke. "It's Naruto Ino, he's been arrested". I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Not everyone knew this but Naruto and I were a lot closer than everyone realized.

Arrested? For what?
