Missing Him

My blood was boiling, it had been days since the nine tails had escaped and we were nowhere near close to finding him. The dam Akatsuki stole him from underneath my nose and are probably using him for their own gain. I can't have that, I have to do something. I have to find him. Without a second thought I picked up the phone and called her.

Tsunade: Yes Mui

Me: The nine tails has escaped, the Akatsuki has him

Tsunade: He is no longer our problem. He is no longer a part of the Leaf Village and was in your custody which means this is your problem to solve alone.

I let out a loud scream as she hung up.

Neji

I had just arrived home from a mission when I heard soft cries coming from Lady Hinata's room. I knew the rules. I knew I had to report to Lord Hisashi first but I couldn't help it. My feet turned heading in the direction of her room.

Once there I knocked softly before sliding the door open and going to lay behind her. "Lady Hinata". I spoke softly. Her cries were soft but felt like sharp needles being stabbed into my heart.

"I miss him". "I know, he was a good friend to us both". I placed my arm around her. "I asked father to help but he said it wasn't our place, that we should forget he ever existed and just move on with our lives but how can I? After everything he's done".

"I know, I know it's unfair. I can't promise you anything but I will talk to him. Please don't cry, your to beautiful and he wouldn't want to see you like this". "I know". I gently kissed her head.

"I'll be heading out after I talk with him but we will talk more". "Thank you Neji". I stood up and made my way to his office.

"Enter".

I did as told and kneeled in front of him immediately. "How was it"? "The mission was a success sir". "That's good, you're servicing our village well. Keep this up and you might make jonin soon".

"Thank you sir but there is something I would like to discuss with you".

"Which is"?

"Naruto. I don't believe we should be so quick to turn our backs on him. He has helped so many people, Hyuga included. He goes above and beyond to help out anyway he can and does his best to be as supportive as he can. Not only that he's a valuable asset on missions.

I know he didn't do what he's accused of. Please sir, please plead his case to Lady Hokage. He needs his friends, his family".

"I take it you don't know". "Know what sir". "Naruto has escaped from Hozuki castle with the help of Sasuke Uchiha. Apparently he was a part of the Akatsuki the entire time and they went after one of their members. The master of Hozuki castle, lord Mui is requesting our help in finding him but Lady Tsunade has declined.

We Hyuga will respect her decision and act accordingly on it. You will never speak that demons name again nor will you speak a word in his defense or try to go to Lady Hokage and have her reconsider. If you do any of those you will be punished severely for it, am I understood".

"Yes sir".

I left and headed straight to the only place I would be able to feel safe right now. I traveled by roof and landed in his backyard where I was relieved to find him sitting alone.

"Your back". He stood up, made his way over to me, and immediately took me into his arms. "

Are we alone"?

"Yes".

I wrapped my arms around him as well and rested my head against his chest. "Naruto escaped from Hozuki castle, he's with Sasuke right now". "At least he's safe, Sasuke won't hurt him"? He gently ran his fingers through my hair.

"I know, I'm just afraid that he thinks we turned our back on him". "Naruto knows us. He knows there's no way we can get into contact with him. He also knows we never turned or back on him or disrespected him. When we have the chance we'll check in on him and let him know he still has us as friends".

"Thank you Shika".

"Your welcome my love".
