August 29th:

-Lisa's pov-

I woke up at 7 a.m. with Billie still sleeping beside me. I wanted her to get as much rest as possible before her show later that day. Quietly, I grabbed my bathing suit and bathrobe and left the room.

I wanted to swim in the hotel pool and do a few laps. I used to swim professionally when I was younger but stopped because it wasn't enjoyable. The rigorous training schedule and demanding school made me feel burnt out at a young age.

Nowadays, I occasionally swim for fun to mix up my workout routine. I spent about 45 minutes swimming in the pool, enjoying peace since nobody else was around.

Afterward, I showered and returned to the room where Billie was still asleep. I didn't want to wake her by blow-drying my hair, so I wrapped it in a towel, put on an oversized T-shirt, and climbed back into bed. I scrolled through my phone for a few minutes. Billie shifted in her sleep and wrapped herself around me. I softly stroked her hair and back while she mumbled inaudibly.

Eventually, I spoke up, knowing she was awake. "I know you've been awake for about half an hour, Bobby. You don't have to pretend to be asleep," I said.

She chuckled softly, her body shaking slightly. I paused the scalp massage, and she pouted, asking for "5 more minutes." Of course, I was unable to resist and continued.

After a while, she finally opened her eyes and leaned in closer to me. It was then she noticed my hair wrapped in a towel.

"I must have been really out of it if I didn't even hear you shower."

"I swam a few leaps in the pool upstairs."

"How can you be this motivated in the morning?"

"I don't know, I just am. Are you nervous about today?"

"No, I'm super excited because I haven't performed in a small venue in years."

"What time do we have to leave?"

"We'll leave at 2 p.m. latest," she said.

"Alrighty."

"But here is how it will go down, love: We needed to be discreet in public—no displays of affection, no holding hands, and no being too close to each other. I don't like it this way either, but for now, this is how we gotta handle that situation. Same for inside the venue except for the green room, okay? I don't want anyone in our business, especially since we aren't official."

I agreed to follow her instructions and then mustered up the courage to say, "I still love you, even if I'm not allowed to show it."

Billie responded, "I love you too, and you can show it, just not in front of everyone," and playfully kissed the top of my nose. We dressed, did our skincare routine, and went downstairs for breakfast. We joined the rest of the group, which also included Zoe.

Although she didn't acknowledge my presence very much, I treated her as if nothing had happened. My best friend, Hannah, always advised me to be the bigger person, so that's exactly what I did. I had a simple breakfast consisting of two fried eggs and a bread roll with cream cheese, bell pepper, leek, and cucumber. I followed it up with some freshly sliced pineapple.

We all engaged in small talk, and I shared details about my studies and life with Finneas and Claudia because they seemed genuinely interested in hearing about it. We planned to meet in the lobby at 1:30 p.m. to head to Camden, where the venue was.

In the meantime, Billie prepared for her performance, rehearsing her songs in the setlist order. I sat and watched her, captivated by her talent. She caught me staring and playfully said, "Creep."
