Chapter 5: Do NOT make potions at night

-Sucy's POV-

It was late at night, everyone was asleep and there was a storm outside. It was the perfect time to work on some midnight potions. I laughed wickedly as I finished my latest potion.

Sucy-"It's finally finished! My ultra-super energy drink made from a near-deadly amount of ingredients extracted from super rare magical mushrooms!"

The light of the lightning outside entered the room briefly, adding to the atmosphere.

Sucy-"If you drink this, your magical power will greatly increase, and your hidden potential will be explosively revealed! I don't need to be bothered by people while mushroom hunting anymore. Now I can easily collect all the poisonous mushrooms from all over the world with my new magical power!" -I laughed wickedly, and drank the potion shortly after- "Down the hatch"

This was my best potion yet! It will be a success surely!

-Tyler's POV-

I woke up by the screams of Akko... Damn she was loud, but it worked as an alarm for me.

Akko- "This isn't good! First period is magic linguistics!"

Lotte-"Hey, Akko, Sucy isn't waking up"

Akko-"She must've eaten a mushroom that puts her in a deep sleep so she can skip class."

As they all discussed over there, I quickly got changed into the uniform they gave me, and got down from my bunk with my hair all messy and tilted glasses.. I hate waking up early. I looked at the desk and saw a wand that probably wasn't there before, and my name was written in a piece of paper next to it, so I picked it and placed it in my pocket.

Lotte-"Oh Hello Tyler, you're awake"

Tyler-"Yeah.. I am"-I murmured while rubbing my eyes under my glasses-

Akko-"Let's go! Of we're late, Professor Finnelan will lecture us until we turn to stone!"

They quickly rushed out of the room, and I just followed them since I had nothing else to do. I didn't noticed that Sucy was still sleeping.

After a while, we got to classes in time, and greeted Professor Finnelan before sitting down. I sat down next to Lotte in one of the front rows since there weren't any free seats except from that one.

Honestly, learning about magic wasn't boring at all! It was actually pretty cool to learn something that I thought to be fake my whole life.

-Time skip-

Putting too much focus on something is exhausting, so after classes, while Akko and Lotte went to the dorm, I went to the courtyard to relax and breathe some fresh air.

I was just chilling when a girl with short orange hair and some salmon undertones approached me.

Amanda-"Hey you, what's your name?"

I was startled and slightly jumped. I didn't expected anyone to approach me, but I guess I should have saw it coming since I was the only boy here.

Tyler-"Oh hi..I uh.. I'm Tyler, nice to meet you"
