Season 2. Chapter 5: Akko

The next day

"AAAAAH!"

A high pitched scream woke up Sucy, Tyler and Akko, who quickly ran towards the store to see what happened.

Akko- "What happened?!"

Lotte was there, petrified as she stared at her Mother, who has became a figure of moss resembling her appearance.

Lotte-"Mom! What's wrong? Talk to me! Mom!" -She pleased, shaking her mother's figure-

Sucy- She turned around to see the backyard, and saw Lotte's Dad in the same state-"Lotte! Look!"

They ran to the backyard too.

Lotte-"Dad! Wake up!"

Akko-"Look at her!"

She pointed at another figure, who, by the position, seemed to be talking with Mr.Jansson before being turned to moss.

Lotte-"Ms. Yanne!"

Sucy- She approached the figure, and shook it's hand- "Hello! I wanted to say that I absolutely loved your pies."

Tyler-"Not the time, Sucy"

Lotte-"Why is all of this happening?"

Sucy- She looked down at her hands, which were covered by moss- "This is moss, isn't it?"

They walked back inside of the house, and looked at the book Mrs. Jansson was looking at before being turned into moss.

Sucy-"Look" -She pointed at a specific paragraph of the book, which was open in a determined page-

Lotte-"The proper method to prevent the infection of the Greenman disease..." -She read aloud-

Akko-"What the heck is that anyway?!"

Sucy-"Sounds pretty co-"

She couldn't finish her sentence before Tyler smacked her behind the head.

Tyler-"Not. The. Time"

Lotte-"Greenman disease is a condition which happens at most once every thousand years in this region. In conjunction with the level of carbon dioxide emissions, birth rate of the local herring, and the timing of polen in the air, an astrological placement creates the catalyst for the disease to be born when a hapansilakka pie is baked at the perfect temperature." -She read the whole paragraph aloud for the rest-

All-"Hapansilakka pie?!"

Tyler-"So we have the worst of the lucks"

Akko ran to the dinner table, and threw the last piece of hapansilakka pie to the trash.

Lotte- She kept reading the book- "Once the outbreak occurs, a local witch must prevent the spread of the infection."

Tyler-"What happens when you get infected?... Aside from being unable to move by the moss"

Lotte-"Your body slowly turns to moss, and eventually withers and dies..."

Akko-"That's horrible!"

Tyler-"Oh shit..."

Lotte- She broke into tears, and looked down at the floor- "My mom and dad... Both are infected"

Sucy-"Lotte's mom was supposed to be the one to prevent the infection, but it got to her first"

Akko-"Then let's fight it ourselves! We are witches right!? Look, here's the antidote"

She pointed at a section of the page, in which the recipe for the antidote was written
