Hyunjin looks at Chan, not knowing what to say.
"You- you've loved me this whole time?"
"Yes, I have, and I'm sorry for not telling you sooner, I'm sorry for hurting you, I'm sorry for not believing you, I'm sorry for pushing you away, I'm sor-"
Hyunjin cuts him off with a kiss.
It was a light peck, but it did it's job.
Chan looks at Hyunjin, shocked is an understatement.
"You kissed me- why?"
"Because you were rambling," answered Hyunjin. "And because the one thing that kept me going all these years was you. On how I would prove my innocence to you. On how I could make you believe me again. On how I could make you love me." Hyunjin chuckles.
"Turns out you've loved me this whole time." He said, looking at Chan with tears in his eyes.
Chan looks at Hyunjin, and he gently wiped away the tears in his eyes, as he says remorsefully,"I really am very sorry for everything I've made you go through, and to think I almost lost you..." Chan says, holding back a sob.
"I know it'll take time for you to fully forgive me, but I hope you eventually do forgive me, now that you know how I truly feel." Chan added with a sad smile on his face.
"Your right, it will take time for me to fully heal and forgive you, but I think the time will pass eventually, and I want you there by my side as I'm healing."
"Are you sure?"
"I'm positive"
Hyunjin leans in and gives Chan another kiss, a real one this time.
As they pull away, they look in each other's eyes, a mix of emotions in both of them.
In one pair;remorse, sorrow
In the other;forgiveness, sadness
But in both was an expression of absolute ecstasy and love that had gotten them but through their lows.
And that is how this story, with its lows, reaches its end.
