Felixa's POV
"Hello?! Felix are you even listening?!"

I felt the back of my head get slapped.

"Ow! Jessica what was that for?!"

"You're day dreaming again."

"Oh..my bad."

"He'll never change. You have no chance with him. Just because he's friends with your brother, doesn't mean he'll ever love you."

"Jeez. Can't you at least pretend to support me?"

"No. You'll only get your hopes up and you'll end up with your heart broken again."

"But...he looks at me sometimes."

"That literally means nothing Lix. People look at each other all the time."

I looked down.

"I guess....you're right."

"Axzen Stark...is out of your league. You should just freaking drop it already. I'm going over by Derek."

"Can I come?"

"No. You're just gonna keep day dreaming."

"Do you hate me?"

"Why does that even matter?"

"You're acting...different."

"Oh? I'm acting different? Maybe, it's because I'm not some 16 year old dreaming of some stupid fantasy. You're gonna be 17 in a few months. You should just drop it and grow up. You don't have a chance with him. I'm just being honest. Let's face it. Without me...you won't make it another year here."

Jessica started becoming toxic ever since she started dating Derek Jones. She's right though. I'm not good at being on my own. My brother is always busy with either football or his girlfriend.

I know I should drop her.

Trust me...

But....

Who the hell would want to be friends with me?

"Why are you still friends with her?"

I looked up. I saw my brother.

"Oh uh...hey Jason."

"I heard her yelling at you. Everyone at my table did."

My eyes widened and I gulped.

"Even..."

"Yeah...even Ax.."

"Looks like my life is officially over."

"I don't want you to hang around her anymore. You know that's the right decision."

"I know. I'll just be alone without her. I never want to bother you."

"Bother me? What?"

"You're always busy with something."

He picked my things up.

"You're sitting with me and the guys."

"Huh?! But-"

"That doesn't matter. Just follow me."

"I-it looks like...the only empty spot is by Zen..."

"So? It's just a seat. You're gonna be stuck with him all summer."

"Huh?!"

"Him and all of my friends are going to the beach house. Remember?"

"Oh...no...I completely forgot."

"Actually...I'll switch seats with you."

I stood up and followed Jason. He brought me over to his table. My heart started racing. I sat where Jason was sitting. He grabbed his things and sat next to Axzen.

"The fuck was all of that about?"

"I-it's nothing Zen...it's nothing..."

"How the fuck would she even know shit like that? She's not my fucking friend or anything."

"She uh...she's just good with these things."

Jason and his friends started staring at me.

"Felix...she's stupid."

"I'd punch her but it's illegal."

"Since when do you care about that Ax?"

Why would he punch her?

"I hate people that think they know any crap about me. Pisses me off."

I stayed quiet for the rest of lunch. The bell rang and I quickly grabbed my things. I never eat during lunch since I never get hungry while I'm at school.

"Felixa? Hold on a minute."
