Chapter 29

Axzen's POV
"I know daddy is actually sorry because...he's crying. Daddy never cries."

"Can we leave?"

"Of course."

"Can we get ice cream?"

"Yes. Of course."

We all stood up and walked back inside.

"Ma! We're leaving!"

"Go upstairs and grab your things."

My mom walked up to us. She hugged us.

"I love the both of you very much."

"We love you too."

The little ones ran up to my mom.

"Bye grandma!"

"Bye my little grandchildren."

She hugged the kids then we went to get ice cream. We sat at a table outside and started eating our ice cream.

That night once the kids were all sleeping....

I got an idea.

"Baby? I know you're not mad at me but...I have something that might make you feel better."

"Hm? What's that?"

"How does make up sex sound?"

She put her hands on my chest and slid then up my body.

"That works."

We took off our clothes and she laid down. I got on top of her and started grinding into her. I started kissing her neck.

"I love you."

Someone started trying to open the door.

"Daddy? Mommy? I heard something in my room. I'm scared."

"Oh no! Hold on!"

Me and Felixa quickly got dressed. I jumped up to our bedroom door and unlocked it. I opened it and saw Bolt.

"Hey little man. What noise did you hear?"

He grabbed my hand and brought me to his room. Something was tapping something.

"The window."

"Okay. I'll go look."

I walked up to his window and opened the curtains. I saw a branch tapping the window.

"Oh! It's okay. Come here. It's just a tree branch."

He walked up to his window and I picked him up.

"See? It's not gonna hurt you. It's just windy outside and that's making the branch move. You're safe. A tree branch isn't gonna hurt you."

"A-are you sure?"

"Yes. I'm sure. It's completely harmless."

"Can I sleep with you and mommy tonight? I don't like the noise."

"Of course. Go grab a plushie if you want."

I put him down. He ran over to his pile of plushies.

"How about your shark?"

He grabbed his shark plushie and started squeezing it.

"Okay little dude. Time for bed."

We started walking to my room.

"Am I still going to work with you tomorrow?"

"Yeah. It's bring your child to work day. Of course, you're coming."

"Are mommy and my sisters coming too?"

"We'll see in the morning."

We got into my room and walked in.

"Hi mommy."

"Hi Bolty. Are you okay?"

"A tree branch was tapping his window. He got scared."

The next day...

I surprised Felixa by coming home early. I found her in our room. She was putting laundry away. I snuck up behind her and slid my arms around her waist.

She jumped then spun around. I started laughing.

"You jackass! You scared me!"

She playfully punched my arm.

"What the hell are you doing home early?"
