Axzen's POV
When school ended, I started walking with Jason."How do you think she is?"
"Hopefully better. Thanks for earlier. I've never seen someone blow up on Jessica like that."
"Had to be done."
"I think...you technically broke two hearts today."
I chuckled.
"You've been keeping score?"
"Not necessarily."
We got to his house and walked up to the front door. He unlocked it then opened. We walked inside then he closed and locked it.
"Do you think she's in her room?"
"Possibly."
I found her in her room.
"Sweetie? I'm back."
I walked into her room and she was doing something on her phone.
"Hi. You actually came back?"
I walked up to her bed then laid down next to her.
"I told Jessica to leave you alone."
She slid her arms underneath mine.
"Thank you."
"This is how your birthday is going to go this year. Since it's on a Saturday, that weekend is all about you. We'll do whatever you want. I'm paying for everything. You're not getting outta that."
"A-are you sure?"
"Yeah."
We both ended up falling asleep. Jason woke us up when my mom came to get me.
"I'll see you tomorrow."
All of us started bringing Felixa everywhere we went. She was clearly happier.
"I don't know what you're doing but...it's working."
"I'm just being me for once."
She ran up to me.
"Come with meeeee!!!"
She grabbed my hand and started running.
"Where're we going?"
"I found a Photo Booth! It's only $5! I can pay for it!"
"AH! Baby slow down!"
We got to the Photo Booth and she dragged me in.
"Ow! I hit my head!"
She put money in and we started taking pictures.
Too cute.
Too fucking cute.
I spoiled her on her birthday. I wasn't kidding about doing that. I brought her to a really nice restaurant then we went into every store she wanted to go in.
"I don't think...I've ever seen you this happy."
"I don't remember ever being this happy."
It started raining.
"Fuck! Since when was this supposed to happen?!"
"Did you forget where we live?"
She grabbed my hands and started pulling me.
"Come on! Come on! Come on!"
She found a puddle and started kicking the water towards me.
"Hey! What're you doing?!"
"I'm playing!"
"Huh?!"
"Don't judge me! We don't get snow here! This is all I've got!"
"You've never seen snow?!"
"No! The rain is all I have! You've played in snow! I haven't!"
"How the hell have you not seen snow?!"
"All of my family is here! I have no reason to leave! Come on!!! Play with me!"
"Okay! Okay! Fine! You win!"
I started kicking the water towards her.
"Yes!"
We both started laughing.
"I gotta go home soon!"
"Noooo! I'm having fun! Noooo!"
After a while, car headlights started showing up.
"And that's my mom."
"Nooooo!!!"
My mom parked her car right in front of Felixa's house.
"I'll see you later."
"NOOOO!"
She ran up to my mom's car and tapped on the window. The window started going down.
"Can he stay for a little longer? Pleaseee?"
"No. I'm sorry. We have to be up early tomorrow."
"Noooo!"
"I'm sorry. We're going to a birthday party and it's a few hours away."
"Okay. I'm sorry. I didn't know."
Oh no...
She's upset...
I don't like that.
Fuck!
Felixa walked up to me and hugged me.
"I'll see you on Monday then...goodnight. I love you. Text me when you get home."
"I-I love you too. G-goodnight."
She started walking away with her head down.
"Mom...please. 5 more minutes. Please."
"I'm sorry. You can't. We have to be at your cousin's house by 12. I understand you're both upset. There's nothing I can do."
"Mom..."
