Chapter 8 Getting started on her new Konoha

The academy wasn't what Maria would call a big building, which is likely why they had to turn away several civilian children something she would be fixing with her plans hopefully. Kakashi and Maria walked through the gates of the academy they could see children in classrooms learning but she shook her head at the nonsense that was being rammed down their necks.

"so how do you plan to change this academy Na.. uh Maria, that's going to take some getting use to." Maria chuckled softly, "Be patient Kakashi, you'll see." Both Maria and Kakashi entered the building and silently made their way down towards the headmasters office. Kakashi knocked on the door and waited to be let in. 

The headmaster was having a pretty miserable day, ever since the civilian council was disbanded his work load had skyrocketed. A knock at the door caught his attention then shouted, "come in." When he looked up he saw the villages strongest ninja followed by a woman who he believed to be a noble. "Ah Kakashi Hatake what can I do for you?" Kakashi just eye smiled, "I'm just the escort today I'm afraid." The headmaster rose and eyebrow while Maria walked over and handed him a slip of paper. His eyes bulged out of his head, "Your now in charge of the academy?" Maria smiled and nodded. "I need you to round up all of the teachers at the training grounds behind the academy for an announcement, send the kids home early this will take a little while." The head master just nodded dumbly and went off to do as he was told. "Well that was easy." Kakashi said turning to Maria. She nodded still with that small smile, "Come a long Kakashi I have a meeting with the academy staff." She walked off closely followed by Kakashi.

It took a little while as the teachers had to see off the children but now Maria and Kakashi were stood in front of the whole faculty team. Kakashi stepped forward proud to announce his younger sister, "This is Maria Uzumaki, clan head to the Uzumaki clan and newly announced candidate for the Hokage position, the Hokage has placed the academy in her hands and given complete control over it and she has an announcement." Maria stepped forward while he stepped back. "As you heard my name is Maria Uzumaki, from now on things will be changing concerning the academy, I have viewed over several files on graduating children and frankly I'm disappointed, the standard of skill these graduates show is appalling and while I don't blame you for this I'm not happy someone hasn't spoken up about it. I have massive plans for the future of this academy and I am here now to discuss them. Several buildings are being repurposed to fit my new vision for the academy they should be completed by the Chunin exams, so that being said as of then the academy will be split into three academy schools, the primary academy which will have two schools one for clan children and the other for civilian children, senior academy which like the primary academy will be split between two schools separating clan and civilian children and then the third school the shinobi university will be optional, in this school clan and civilian children will be together.

Primary academy for civilians will teach students basic chakra control, history of the clans and the village, basic katas in academy taijutsu style, the three basic academy jutsu, henge, clone and substitution.

Primary academy for clan children will teach the same things except they will learn battle tactics and strategy, they will also learn two d rank jutsus and one c rank jutsu, they will also learn advanced chakra control and advanced katas in the academy thaijutsu style.

Each primary academy will last for 4 years starting at 8 years old and a separate stipend from the village treasury will be put aside for the orphanages to use to support any orphans that wish to become shinobi.

Senior academy for civilians will start on battle tactics and strategy, advanced chakra control, basic theoretical understanding in all areas of being a ninja such as thaijutsu, ninjutsu, genjutsu, kenjutsu and medic jutsu, they will also be taught about the different ranks and specialised shinobi jobs within the village, they will also move on to advanced academy thaijutsu katas, they will be expected to learn 4 new c rank jutsu.
