(Harry P.o.v.)
Harry quit college. He decided that he didn't need any more of the drama, and wanted to focus on other things. Now, he had more time for his job, and was making more money than usual. Plus, there was always online college, right?
But with quitting school, he had a lot more time on his hands. He didn't quite know what to do with all this free time, and often went out searching for something to quench his thirst for an adventure. He wanted a change of scenery. Not like he had in his dreams, no. Just, something new.
It was a calm Monday morning, and Harry was lounging on his couch, contently eating a bagel while watching the news. Nothing he was interested in was on at the moment.
His attention was diverted to the door as he heard a loud knock, standing up to go answer it. He was surprised to see Niall, after all this time. 'How does he still know where I live? We haven't talked on a while.' Harry thought. Niall smiled, letting himself in as he took in Harry's messy living space.
"You haven't changed at all, I see." Niall commented, jokingly. Harry frowned in confusion. Now he decides to visit, to joke about the slob he was? Niall noticed how his friend was uncharacteristically quiet. Well, they weren't much of friends anymore, but Niall still considered Harry as a friend. Brother, even.
"Anyway I came to check on you. Uh, I'm sorry for being the jerk I was. Truthfully, after you. . . um, you know, the boys and I fell apart. I thought it was time to come apologize, and maybe get back what we had before." Niall rambled.
Harry arched an eyebrow at the Irish blonde. Happy-go-lucky Niall was always sincere and kind, so, Harry found it easy to forgive him. Truthfully, Harry missed him. He missed all of the boys, but he felt he was in no state to confront them again.
He wiped the few crumbs from his hands, hugging Niall tightly. "Niall, I've missed you all so much. I forgive you. I, was never really mad at you all. Just, everything else. I was mad at myself." Harry explained. His friend hugged him back tightly. "Oh, that's so good to hear! But I wish I would've done this sooner. Zayn left, Liam found himself a girlfriend, so he spends less time with Louis and I. Speaking of Louis, he's gone rogue. And I, I don't know. I'm just, lonely. So, I figured I'd come find you!" Niall said lightly.
Harry pulled away, frowning. "Where'd Zayn go off to?" He asked. "Uh, we don't really know anymore. He went home at first, but I talked to his mum and she said he left again." Niall scratched the back of his neck. "Ah, but enough about him. Did you have plans for today?" Niall asked. It sure didn't seem like it, to him. Harry was still in pajama pants and a tank top. His hair was a mess, and there were crumbs from his breakfast littering his face. Niall could also see the slight stubble begging to show through on Harry's face.
Niall had to admit, Harry wasn't so young anymore. Well, he didn't appear to be. He was growing up, and he'd missed out. Harry would be 19 pretty soon. . . All of the boys had envied Harry. He was the full package. He had the looks, the skills, the humor, the heart, and the youth. They were surprised he hadn't gotten a girlfriend.
