The Spread

 Twilight was tirelessly reading her books trying to figure out what was going on. AppleJack by her side as she was curled up asleep, her head resting on Twilight's back. Twilight muttered, "I will find the cure and AppleBloom." Spike brought in tea and blankets. He placed the tea on the table and the blankets on the ponies. Spike asked hesitantly, "Umm are you sure we will find her alive it has been a couple days? Also, have you heard anything from fluttershy?" Twilight replied, "My focus is AppleBloom and a cure for her. I will check on Fluttershy later."Spike heard the undertone of firmness to her answer. Spike left the room going to his room getting into bed. Spike thought of the events that unfold before falling asleep.

Angel passed the second stage 2 without any wounds because his paws were wrapped up by Fluttershy. Angel could not hear any of the birds cripping or the mice running around the room as vine had grown out his ears. He could not even hear Fluttershy worried talking as she was talking trying to figure out what was going on. She had not questioned Angel as she thought that resting would be the solution and now she did not want to do it while not wanting to leave her furry friend alone. She sat next to Angel well going through all her medical books. She saw a similar disease that happened a century before, but there was no cure label as if it was never made even though the pony got better. It went over the stages of the disease.

Stage 1: The infected party will go blind sometime it is quick and others will be slow.

Stage 2: An unbearable pain and itch this stage normally ends with several cuts as most scratch hard to stop the itch. When sleeping they will sleep walk biting others to infect them. They may also hallucinate or have extreme nightmares (this nightmare can result in sudden death).

Stage 3: They begin growing vine out their ears leading to a lack of ear. May become more irritable as time passes.

Stage 4: They will aggressive vines piercing the flesh will try to bite others or even eat people all together.

Stage 5: The vines will have pods that are preparing to bloom flowers.

Stage 6: flowers will bloom everywhere. Most smaller creatures and fillies will die at this stage.

Stage 7: This has two ends: some may mutate to something more and other will die being overrun by the virus.

Fluttershy was confused about how there was no cure but people becoming cured when the last stage is death. Fluttershy began talking to herself, "There must have been a cure why did they not write it down. It was also still during Celestia's rain of power. Maybe I should stay or should I go to Twilight?" While she spirals into thought which abruptly stops, she howls in pain from a sudden shocking pain in her hind leg. She turned to see what it was she saw Angel biting down. She gently tries to take Angel off causing Angel to bite her hoove hard out of instinct she swung her hooves hard. This caused Angel to go flying through the air, his body hit the edge of a cabinet, and then the wall, his body sliding down the wall, blood showing where he hit. Fluttershy eyes widen in horror and disbelief from what just happened. She picked up the lifeless body and began sobbing. Later she put his lifeless body in his bed pretending like nothing had happened. She wrapped up her wounds and went to Twilight's castle.

She went in without knocking and headed straight towards the library. She came in and saw the two ponies AppleJack who was asleep well Twilight was reading her book. Twilight looked up from her book, her face going from peaceful to downright terrified. Fluttershy hair was messed up, her bandages were soaked through and her coat still had blood stains on her from Angel. Twilight got up carefully not trying to wake up AppleJack as she did not want to put more on AppleJack's plate of worries. She walked up to Fluttershy revealing her eyes to be slightly paler than normal, well the edges were slightly red and had a glassy tint to them.Twilight led her to a different room and once in the room she asked, "What happened to you? You look like a wreck." Fluttershy replied, "I think that I might have gotten infected, but did you hear anything from Celestia because this disease has happened before. It looks like it had a cure but there is no record of a cure." Twilight looked confused, "I think you're confused cause Celestia told me she did not know anything about this disease." Fluttershy said, "Well she should because it happened when she was in power." Twilight replied, "Well she doesn't and you are properly reading the wrong things." Fluttershy felt the rage build in her as she was not lying and she did not so she said in an angry tone, "What I am not lying about this it happened while she was in power so she knows about this." Twilight got red at the face from her anger as she shouted, "GET OUT OF HERE NOW." Fluttershy ran out tears of frustration going down her face.
