*Y/N's POV*"Jennie?"
"M– Mom?" Jennie stuttered, getting up, making me do the same.
Shit! Jennie's Mom?
Mrs. Kim was looking at both of us intimidatingly, and I realised that Jennie and I were still holding hands. I immediately let go of her hand and stood a step away from her.
"Mo– Mom, how– how come you are here?" My girlfriend stuttered.
"This is the cafe I frequented." Her mother answered, crossing her arms before her. "But care to tell me how you are here?"
"Uh, that's– I, um, I was– I was in the area, so I thought I'd take a break here."
"Oh, really? Then who's this?" Mrs. Kim asked, looking at me.
"She's, uh–" Jennie fidgeted.
"I am her bodyguard," I said in a rush. That was the only lie I could think of then.
Jennie looked at me sadly, but I slightly nodded my head at her.
"Your bodyguard?" Mrs. Kim asked again.
Jennie looked back at her Mom and smiled nervously. "Uh, ye– yeah."
"Since when did you start to kiss your bodyguards like that?"
Oh shit, she saw!
I swallowed hard.
Well, her Mom didn't look mad or anything. But she didn't look so pleased either. I don't think any Mom would...!
"You– you saw?"
"You didn't leave me much choice."
Both of us smiled awkwardly. Jennie was fidgeting with her fingers nervously.
"I need to talk to you both. Come with me." She said, walking away from us.
We looked at each other before nodding.
She took us to her villa from there, and I sat anxiously across her on the couch while Jennie sat beside her. The tension in the air was so thick, and we were sitting in pin-drop silence. I suppose I should talk.
Mrs. Kim, I–"
"What's your name?" She cut me off.
"Uh, Y/N, Ma'am. Y/N Y/L/N."
"What do you do?"
"I am a Taekwondo Instructor, Ma'am." She creased her eyebrows.
"Parents?"
"They are in New Zealand."
"Hmm. What's your intention with my daughter?" She asked me directly.
"Mom!" Jennie whispered at her mother, but she was staring right at me or more like glaring, one would say.
"I– I like your daughter a lot, Mrs. Kim."
Mrs. Kim sighed. "I am going to tell you everything straight, Y/N. I never liked anyone Jennie dated. All of them wanted to use her one way or another."
"Mom!!!"
Mrs. Kim brushed off her daughter's whiny tone and continued. "And probably she told you already, but after the stunts, she had to pull under her agency; I really don't know if her relationships are real or fake."
"Mom!!!" Jennie whined again but again got ignored.
"So, if you being with my daughter has anything to do with what I just mentioned, I suggest you stop now. I won't let anyone or anything hurt my little girl anymore. I have had enough."
My girlfriend gave me an apologetic look, but I just smiled at her.
I cleared my throat as I spoke. "I understand your concern, Mrs. Kim... but I will swear on anything in this world that neither I have any wrong intentions with your daughter... nor our relationship is fake," I said earnestly. "As I said, I am just a Taekwondo Instructor. I don't think anyone has any kind of benefit by making an idol like Jennie date an ordinary person like me. You probably guessed it already."
My girlfriend's mother nodded.
"And as for my intentions, Mrs. Kim... I have known Jennie as long as I have known BLACKPINK. I have always admired her... but when I came to know her on a personal level... I saw how much of a sweet... loving... caring and tender person she is." I said, keeping my eyes on Jennie. I watched her feline orbs well. "Mrs. Kim, this is probably gonna sound very weird, considering I have known Jennie for only a very short while... but... your daughter completes me, Ma'am." I could feel myself cracking up.
Because I wasn't lying.
When I am with Jennie... when I hold her hands... when I kiss her lips... when I feel her steady heartbeats against me... when she's just by my side... I feel complete.
The gap I feel in my life... in my heart... feels filled. With her.
I don't know why I feel that way, though. We haven't known each other that long, and there's still a long way left for us to go. But what I feel for her right now is the most righteous and strongest feeling I have ever felt in my life, and someone inside me is telling me that I am bound to have these feelings for her forever.
Because... because she's my first love.
"I really don't have any words to explain what I feel for her. Because words don't seem so enough to do that. I will never do anything to hurt her, and I will always try to make her the happiest person on Earth. Because she deserves it."
Silence wrapped around us, and this time, Mrs. Kim broke it.
"I really don't see a reason not to believe your words, so... just– just take care of my Jennie." She mumbled the last part.
I nodded furiously.
"Mom!" Jennie cooed, hugging her mother. "Thank you!" She whispered.
"You are happy with her, aren't you?" Mrs. Kim asked her daughter.
My girlfriend looked at me. "More than anything."
"Then that's all it matters." Her mother assured. "Just don't get hurt, you two. It's not gonna be easy as you move forward."
I watched Jennie's face drop briefly before she masked it from the both of us and nodded. Mrs. Kim offered us to take her car to go back home, and she even told me to start calling her 'Mom.'
As we drove back home, with Jennie in the passenger seat, I noticed that her eyes were fixed on me.
"What?" I asked with a chuckle.
"Baby?" She called me softly.
I hummed.
"What you said there... to my Mom... is it– do you– do you really feel that way?"
I stopped the car by the side of the road and turned to face her, and took her hands in mine.
"I meant every single word," I whispered, kissing her hands. Her eyes welled again. I let go of her hands and cupped her soft cheeks. "I would never joke about my feelings for you, Jennie. Because I love you."
Her cat-like eyes slightly widened. "Y/N..." Her voice trailed off.
I nodded. "That's how I feel about you, Jennie. It's okay if you feel rushed or–" She cut me off by pressing her lips against mine.
Jennie kissed me possessively. It felt equally dominating and submitting.
I held her head and kept our lips stay together as we kissed with more passion, but eventually, we had to pull away when our lungs felt like giving out. We joined our foreheads, panting.
My girlfriend cupped my face and pressed another firm kiss on my lips before whispering, "I love you, too, Y/N." My heart nearly exploded. "It was always you." She whispered, and I creased my eyebrows.
What does that mean?
But Jennie didn't give me much time to process her words as she pulled me in for another kiss, and everything else just disappeared before her smooth, plump rims.
