*Third Person's POV*

Y/N was busy fixing the positions of her trainees when the four girls showed up. Of course, the men's team and women's team were present, and Jennie's eyes immediately searched for the tall girl in the crowd. The latter's back was facing her, but a small smile tugged onto her lips.

"Seems like the stage is occupied. Let's go to the green room and discuss the setlist." Jisoo suggested, and the two younger girls nodded in agreement.

"Ahhh, why should we go somewhere else when we could just sit here?" Jennie requested nervously, pointing at the auditorium.

Her bandmates squinted their eyes at her.

"I– I mean, if here, we can check over the choreo as well, and since the directors are here, we could ask for their help as well." The cat-eyed girl sputtered.

"And you could gawk at your ex. Yeah, we get it." Lisa teased, making the main rapper pout.

"Come on, girls! Let's just sit here." Rosè pushed, and finally, the girls did get settled by the third row, going over their setlist and visualising their choreography.

Jennie's eyes would occasionally steal a few glances at the tall girl, and she couldn't help but compare how she looked now versus how she remembered her. She did notice that Y/N had gotten a lot taller now. They used to have a one or two centimetres difference in height, but now the tall girl could easily tower over her. Also, Y/N's body looked firmer now because of the years' worth of training.

Rosè cleared her throat beside the cat-eyed girl. "The iPad is to your front, Unnie." She whispered softly, and Jennie immediately turned her head away, her face reddening in embarrassment.

Somehow, they worked through the morning, and then it was lunchtime.

"Hey, Y/N!" Lisa chirped as the tall girl got down off the stage to grab water from the bag.

"Oh– H– Hi!" Y/N croaked out.

"You are still nervous around us." Jisoo teased.

"Ah– no, it's just, uh, I... I still can't believe I got to meet you."

"Well, better get used to it because we will be seeing each other a lot from now on." The blonde girl said with a chuckle.

Jennie sat fidgeting, looking everywhere else but at the tall girl.

Y/N smiled. "Are you guys off for lunch?"

"Yeah. You?" The older girl questioned.

"Uh, our rehearsal for today is over. So, I will grab lunch on my way home."

"Or... you could join us," Lisa suggested, and Jennie raised her head at the maknae, who winked at her.

The tall girl stood speechless for some time. "Re– really?"

The girls couldn't help but chuckle at her reaction. She looked like a puppy who had just gotten its first toy.

"Yeah. Really." Rosè said between her laughs.

"You don't mind?" Y/N asked again.

"Oh, we definitely don't mind." Jisoo shrugged. "Do you mind, Jennie?" She asked the cat-eyed girl suggestively.

Jennie shook her head wordlessly as her face turned as red as a tomato, which Y/N didn't seem to notice.

"See? So, come on, Y/N. We are not going out. We will just order in." The Thai girl spoke excitedly, dragging Jisoo and Rosè with her, leaving Jennie and Y/N to follow them.

Just the five of them sat for lunch in a circle on the floor, and the three girls absolutely loved the tall girl's company.

Jennie was right: it was really hard not to like Y/N. She was naturally funny, and there was a kind of warmth that she radiated, which made all of them feel comfortable and content around her.

"You have never lost a match since you were fourteen?" Lisa asked in admiration.

Y/N shook her head shyly.

"Woah! You must be an ace." Jisoo patted her shoulders as Y/N was sitting between her and the blonde girl. "I used to do taekwondo as a kid." She said, mimicking some hand gestures.

"Yeah. I know." The tall girl laughed.

"Why do you retire, though?" Jennie questioned softly.

"Oh, uh, I just... I don't have a real reason. I think it was starting to tire me. Every win just felt the same... so... I think... that's why." Y/N explained. The girls nodded understandingly. "It's the first time Miss Kim has talked to me." She pointed out softly, making the cat-eyed girl stare at her. It didn't go unnoticed by her that Y/N addressed her formally.  It hurt the rapper. "I– I mean... I never pinned the Jennie Kim to be this quiet. She's usually all enthusiastic in interviews and all."

"Ohh! She's shy to talk to you because we all know who you are." The dancer shrugged, making Jennie pinch her thighs.

Y/N frowned. "I am sorry... what?"

"No, no. Nothing. Don't mind her." Rosè immediately brushed it off. "And you don't have to be so formal with us. You can call us by our names. You are the same age as Jennie Unnie, right?"

Y/N nodded, smiling.

"But can we just call you by your name?" The Thai girl asked.

"Yeah, yeah! Sure." The tall girl sputtered, and they all laughed again.

"So, Y/N. What made you come to South Korea?" The blonde girl asked this time.

"Uh, I have been here back in 2017 for a match. I fell in love with this place since then, so I thought here would be a good place for a new start."

The three girls nodded again. Jennie was just listening to the tall girl's words. It made her heart feel so warm to just listen to Y/N's voice.

"When did you become a BLINK?" The older girl asked.

"Since then. Around 2017."

"Favorite song?" Jisoo asked again.

"Stay," Y/N said shyly, and for some reason, Jennie's heart panged.

"Who's your bias?" Lisa asked cockily.

The tall girl smiled nervously. "I... I like all of you equally."

"Oh, come on! There must be someone that's special." Jisoo pushed.

Jennie was burning in her seat.

"Uh, um, that's– it's... it's Lisa." Y/N confessed softly.

"Me?" The Thai girl almost shouted nervously, gulping as she turned her head to face the cat-eyed girl who gave her a death glare.

"What about Lisa?" Jennie asked the tall girl through her clenched jaw.

"Um, nothing specifically. I just think she's cute when she laughs."

The cat-eyed girl forced a smile and slapped Lisa's shoulders repeatedly with a forced chuckle. "Heard that, Lisa. Cute."

"I heard, Unnie." Lisa whimpered.

Jisoo and Rosè bit back a laugh, but the tall girl didn't seem to think too much about it.

"Only Lisa is cute?" Jisoo asked playfully.

"That's– that's not what I meant." The tall girl stuttered. "Come on! You can't corner me like that!" She whined. "Well, Lisa is indeed cute. Just like how Jisoo Unnie is pretty, Rosie is angelic, and Jennie is hot and sexy."

The cat-eyed girl blushed fuuuuriously.

"Ohhhh!" The three girls cooed, and the tall girl covered her face in embarrassment while Jennie's face was at least as hot as a day in summer.

Well, it was just the beginning.
