Dani's P.O.V

It's been a week since my dad had a heart attack. I had a bit of a set back with my recovery, I tweaked my knee so doesn't look like I will be fit enough for the champions league game. Me and Leah have seen each other every day. I stopped at hers for couple of nights after. We have been really good.

Leah has been my support system and I couldn't be more thankful.

Today I have invited some of the girls round to my house for a BBQ and to show that we are all good now. I want us to come back together as a team but more importantly as a family.

It's around 2pm most of the girls are here. Leah, Lia, Katie, Caitlin, Steph, Jen, Beth and Viv.

The doorbell rings I go to get it. I opened the door and it's Alessia and Lotte, I said “hey guys”

They both said “hi” at the same time.

“Everyone else is in the garden, come through” I said

We got to the kitchen and Alessia said “Dan, can I talk to you?”

I stopped. Lotte said “I’ll see you out there” she went outside to the others.

Alessia said “I didn't expect an invite from you. I definitely don’t deserve one”

“Your part of the team, your also still my friend Less” I said

She said “I am sorry, I hope you know that”

I smiled at her and said “of course I do, come on let's join the others”

A little while later I was sat on my bench next to Leah we were laughing and joking with everyone else when the doorbell went. I got up and went to get it. I opened the door, it was Jordan and Rachel Daly. I said “hey guys”

Jordan said “Beth said you guys were here. Is it all right us coming?”

I smiled at them and said “of course, It's good to see you. Come through”

We all walked through to the garden. Jordan sat next to Leah and they started chatting. Rachel went to talk to Beth and Viv. I wasn’t really talking to anyone just watching. Taking it all in.

I must have been looking at Leah and Jordan for a while because Alessia came over to me and said “do you want to talk about it?”

I said “’what?”

She looked over at Jordan and Leah.

I said “oh, nothing to talk about really”

“Your face says something different” She said

“It doesn’t matter Less. Thanks though” I said. I walked into the kitchen. I needed a minute.

I went over to the sink, put my hands out on the sink and put my head down then I heard the door shut. I turned around, it was Leah. She said “what’s wrong?”

“I just needed a minute” I said

She said “why though?”

“It’s just hard sometimes” I said

She walked over to the sink where I was standing “what is?”

“waiting” I said “seeing you talk to Jordan. The way she looks at you Le. It’s how I look at you. She wants you back”

“I can’t help the way other people feel babe” she said

“I know that. I’m just saying it’s hard that’s all” I said

“I care for Jordan but I’m in love with you. You know that right?” Leah said

“Sometimes I do but other times I don’t. I love you Le, more than anything” I said

She cupped my face with her hands and said “I know you do. And I wish you didn’t have to question my feelings for you” she leaned in and kissed me. Then the door opened, Leah pulled away from me but she reached for my hand. I gave it to her.

“How long have you two been back together?” Jordan said. I could tell that she was upset.

I looked at Leah and then back at Jordan and I said “we aren’t back together”

Leah said “yet”

I couldn’t help but smile.

Jordan said “when was you going to tell me?”

Leah said “when there was something to tell you”
