Pre-season in Germany

Dani’s P.O.V

Myself, Leah, Viv and Teyah just arrived at the Adidas headquarters for our pre-season training. The other girls arrived earlier. They flew in from Sweden after playing 2 games in champions league qualifying. They won the first game against Linkoping 3-0 with Caitlin, Lina and Stina scoring the goals. Then they played Paris FC. The game finished 3-3 with a goal from Jen and 2 goals from Alessia. The game went to penalties which Paris FC went on to win. Which means we will not be playing in the Champions league this season but we still have the WSL, the FA cup and the Conti cup to play for.

In other news Leah started running on the machine. I was so proud of her and I’m happy that I was able to be there for her.

Leah is rooming with Viv in this camp and my roommate is Beth. I need to tell her about me and Leah.

I was pretty tired so I went to bed quite early. It seemed like I was in bed for ages tossing and turning. I couldn’t sleep but I don’t know why. I was just staring at the ceiling when Beth came back to the room.

She could see that I was still awake she said “hey, are you ok?”

I said “I can’t sleep”

“Something bothering you?” She asked. She sat down on her bed facing me.

I sat up, leaning my back against the headboard and looked at Beth. Then I said “Not really”

She replied “not really?”

“I do need to talk to you but I thought it could wait till tomorrow” I said

“Dani if it’s bothering you. You can talk to me now” Beth said

“I was just worried you might find out from someone else but I want it to come from me” I said

Beth said “want what to come from you?”

I said “me and Leah got back together”

Beth laughed and then said “I thought it was going to be something bad. I knew you two would eventually. You have been dancing around each other since you came back. You’re happy though right?”

I answered “yeah I am”

She said “I’m glad”

She got up and got ready for bed. She got into bed and lay down. I lay back down too. Then I heard her say “Dan”

I looked back over to her and said “yeah”

She said “I miss my best friend”

I smiled and said “me to”

“Do you want to come for coffee tomorrow with some of the girls” she asked

“Yeah of course I do” I said   

The next day I was sitting at an outside table with Beth, Kim, Jen, Steph and Amanda IIestsdt. I was drinking my coffee and we were just having general chat when I felt someone sit down next to me and put their arms around me and kiss me on the cheek. I turned to see that it was Leah. Good job I told Beth last night then. I said “morning”

Leah said “morning babe” then she said “I’m just going to get a hot choc. Anyone want anything?”

We all shook our heads except Beth who said “I’ll come with you”

They got up and left the table. The rest of the girls were looking at me but I didn’t say anything.

Steph said “you two are back together then?”

I said “yeah we are”

Jen said “how long and why haven’t you told us?”

“Because we got back together last weekend. I only told Beth last night. I wasn’t aware we were telling people Clearly Leah doesn’t care who knows” I said

Kim said “do you?”

“No, I’m actually quite glad to be honest” I replied

Steph said “I’m glad you two are back together. You are made for each other”

Leah and Beth then sat back down and Leah said “I think so to”

We both had the biggest smiles on our faces.

Kim said “It’s good to see you both happy”

I said “thanks Kim”
