walking out of the town, a bunch of sandbenders were near appa, and koa was in between them, snarling at the men wrapped up in linen.

"sandbenders! shoo! away from the bison!" professor zei yelled at them, and they left as quickly as they came.

once they were gone, koa closed his wings and licked his nose. "gross, koa." vada deadpanned.

"what a fine specimen of eagle wolf." zei said, looking at koa. "how did you manage to tame it?"

vada shrugged. "I dunno, he just kinda.. started following me over a year ago." koa licked her face. "I don't think he ever had a pack."

professor zei nodded and climbed onto appa, sitting snugly in the saddle. vada got onto koa and they all flew off into the desert.

it was hot and dry, but the breeze that flying made, resulted in an easier trip.

vada couldnt see very far, so she kind of just relied on one of the others to spot it.

appa descended and vada simply just followed them. as they got nearer, she saw a tower. a very large tower.

she didn't see how it correlated with the giant library that zei showed them, but after looking at one of the library's towers, everyone was convinced that this was it.

but it was buried.

"actually, that won't be necessary. the inside is completely intact, and it's huge." toph said after placing her hand on the wall.

"i think we can climb up to the window and get into the library." vada hummed, looking up at the window.

she wanted to find some waterbending scrolls to teach herself the traditional forms. because it was difficult to waterbend like a firebender.

sokka climbed up through the window with a rope.

"hey, koa?" she looked at her canine companion. "mind giving me a lift?"

as the others shimmied up the building carefully, vada simply just flew up with the help of koa. then, she slid down the ropes quickly and landed at the bottom.

koa then went back to appa and began taking a nap.

a minute or so later, the others were inside of the library with her.

she looked around and noticed that the entire place was decorated with owls.

owl sculptures, owl carvings, owl mosaic. you name it, it was owl themed.

hearing some rustling, everyone ran and hid behind some owl pillars.

looking back, vada saw a giant owl looking around. what the heck? why is everything an owl?

"i know you're back there." he said and vada almost shrieked. the owl could talk. the giant seven foot tall owl could talk.

professor zei ran out and greeted the owl kindly while introducing himself.

"you better leave the way you came. I do not allow visitors in my library anymore."

vada stepped out from behind the owl pillars with katara, sokka, and aang. "are you the spirit who brought this library to the physical world?" sokka asked, walking closer to the owl.

"yes. I am wan shi tong. he wjo knows ten thousand things." the owl replied.

"only ten thousand?" everyone turned to look at the dark haired waterbender strangely. "sorry." she mumbled.

"humans are no longer permitted in my study." the owl stated.

"what do you have against humans?" aang queried.
