half asleep in her sleeping bag next to zuko's, vada couldn't het her mind rest fully.
she was worried, and kept thinking of the prophecy she received from yue. she made sure to do so behind closed doors or whenever everyone else were asleep.
she jolted up by the sound of an explosion and hastily looked around, messy white hair flying in the wind. she jumped up and slung her waterskings over her torso, waking koa in the process.
aang bended the metal doors to the chamber closed and vada looked around for injury. "everyone, get ready to flee the temple!" she announced semi-calmly.
as more explosions shook the temple, the roof began closing in on katara, but she was shoved out of the way in the nick of time by zuko.
"what the hell are you doing?!" the dark haired waterbender hissed.
"saving your like," zuko grumbled as katara shoved him away from her.
"I'm safe, get off of me." she said.
vada helped her boyfriend up, "you okay?" she asked, blue eyes meeting with amber.
"Yeah, I also have a feeling we know who's attacking us." he said, looking to the air ships.
"Azula." vada said, a frown etching on her face. "let's go deal with her, yeah?" koa walked to her and she hopped onto the eagle-wolf's back, holding her hand out to zuko, who gave her a smile.
he got on behind her and they flew out into the chaos.
the dark-haired boy launched powerful puffs of flame at the air ships while vada used her water to fling the bombs away.
Azula soos, smiling maniacally at her brother, "what are you doing here!?" zuko questioned from koa's back, keeping a distance between him and his sister.
"isn't it obvious?" Azula grinned, "I'm about to celebrate becoming an only child!"
Zuko kissed vada's cheek before deflecting one of his sister's blue flames. "you take care of the air ships, I'll handle my sister." he said.
vada nodded and watched him jump off of koa and to his sister, and he began to fight her.
"let's go, koa!" she yelled out, drawing her water and having the wolf fly to one of the air ships.
she made a diagonal slice through the metal top of the airship, allowing it to begin falling down to the ground.
she glanced back at zuko for a moment, making sure he was okay.
unfortunately, she saw him directly dueling his sister. red flames against blue ones. a symphony against opposite sides. vada gasped in realization.
it will begin as a duel between blue and red,
what yue had told her back at the spirit oasis. shit.
she sliced another airship before turning her attention back to zuko, who was now falling from the airship he was fighting Azula on, due to the recoil of their bending.
"come on, koa." vada grunted out as she lead the eagle wolf to go save her boyfriend.
she moved back ot the saddle, making space to catch zuko.
koa flew under him and vada reached her gloved hand up to pull him down onto the canine.
he landed safely in the saddle, his back to vada's chest, he was now in the driving position.
he looked back as koa flew next to appa, "she's... she's not gonna make it," he said, staring at his sister, who was plummeting to her demise.
but then, Azula propelled herself to the wall, landing safely against it. "never mind." vada grumbled, wrapping her arms around zuko's waist. "of course she did." the scarred boy rolled his eyes.
