This is not an update and I did not want to excite you guys with something that I don't have.
But to say the least I have not wrote a single word in over a month. I hate to be this person, the one that put a book out that is taking me longer than usual to finish. It's unfair to my readers. Truly I was in your guys position once, checking this app everyday to see if my favorite author updated to just find out that they didn't finish the book.
This is not to say this book will not be finished but I need to find the creativity to write again.
I need to find the passion again.
I already have everything planned out for this book, each chapter has basically been completed but not written. I feel like every time I try and open my laptop there are no words that want to escape the blockage that has been built over these months. It's safe to say that it does sadden me to look back at these characters that need an ending. There's just no spark anymore, and maybe it has to do with school and my job. Or maybe it even has to do with the guy I'm seeing. But I promised myself going into the new year that I'd finish this book.
And I will.
I promise promise a thousand times this book will have an ending.
I don't want you guys to think I haven't put any effort into this book. Because everyday I still think about it and how bad I'm failing it right now.
I've decided this up coming week I'd focus on reading old chapters and building my connection and confidence into this book and into writing again.
I'm so so sorry to disappoint you guys. I know how many of you love this book.
Forgive me for being so in consistent.
- Love, Jazelle.
