I'm on a fucking high right now. I just kissed Katie and she kissed me back. Jace of course, had to ruin it by calling me. Centimeters away from kissing her again and his call broke the moment. Fuck him and his stupid little brain.

"What the fuck did I tell you about calling me?" I groan bursting into my own office and finding Jace sitting on Katie's side of the desk. His attention turns towards me and away from his computer. "Chill the fuck out, Ren. I found something... You're welcome. Bitch."

All i give him is a roll of my eyes and push his useless body out of his chair to look at the computer. "DUDE?!" He yells at me from the floor, his chair flipped upwards from the fall. The little prick deserved it.

Knowing Katie doesn't see him that way and I had my hands on her half an hour ago makes me no longer upset with Jace. I'm just giving him a hard time because he's a pain in my ass and my friend. Though I know I'm winning a non-existing war with this idiot, I'm not going to tell him anything because he has no business with whom I do and don't have my tongue down.

"All I see is bank accounts but I don't know what exactly I'm looking for Jace." Jace gets back up on his feet and brushes out his blazer in a fuss. "Well maybe if you wouldn't have thrown me onto the goddamn floor I would've explained it to you jackass." He shoves me aside and points at the screen. "These all have one thing in common. Look at the routing number."

"It's not going into the banks. It's going to a self-routed account." I realize looking at the numbers. "Yup, which only means these bank accounts are just a pit stop for the money before they move it elsewhere," Jace explains hand gesturing at the different accounts on the screen. "The banks are corrupted. There's no way they wouldn't question so much money appearing and disappearing in a couple of hours." I notice, shaking my head.

"The routing number is significant, yes, but I can't track it," Jace says sitting down in a chair. "There is one thing we can do though." I turn and look at him. "We track the spending and follow it. Say they go to a store, we would go after being notified and bargain to see camera footage, and boom." This idiot can be smart sometimes, I'll give it to him. "Well, do your thing. Call me when you get a location and we-"

Right when I'm about to tell my part of the plan my phone rings. "I- hold on." I turn my back to Jace and answer the call, pressing the phone to my ear. "Hello?" Crying is all I get back and my body tenses. "Sweetheart? What's wrong?" Don't ask how I could tell it was Katie on the other end of the phone, not even I know. "I- can you come back please..." Her whispered cry sends chills down my spine. I don't like hearing her like this is all I know.

"I'm on my way, don't worry." Her hum responds before I hang up and turn back to Jace. "Everything okay?" He asks seeing worry on my face. "Yeah just call me when you get anything- actually just uhm- just go and give them whatever they want, get a name then call me. Got it?" My mind scrambles to pick up a straight thought as I grab my keys off the desk and snap a picture of the routing number.
