'What you did in Kings Landing you could've lied to Cersei about bending the knee to Daenerys you risked everything to tell the enemy the truth.' Theon reminded Jon. Rieka peered inside the throne room only to see theon and jon. Rieka still remembered their father sitting up. He always looked suited for the crow. A role of power.
'We went down there to make peace and it seems to me we need to be honest with each other if we are going to fight together.' Jon told him.
'"And you always know what is right, to be honest even when we were both young and stupid you always knew every step we take, it was always the right step.' Theon told him.
'It may seem that way from the outside but I promise you that is not true,' Jon told him 'I've done plenty of things that I regret.' He added.
'Not compared to me you haven't' theon told him
'No not compared to you' Jon confirmed. Theon made his way closer to jon
'I always wanted to do the right thing be the right kind of person but I never knew what that meant.' Theon admitted 'it always seemed like... Like it was an impossible choice I had to make stark or Greyjoy.'
'Our father was more of a father to you than yours ever was and you betrayed him!' Jon told him 'you betrayed him for a man that never loved you! You betrayed rieka too...."
'I did' theon agreed. 'And I hate myself for it because Rieka is the best thing in the world."
'Damn right she is." Jon agreed. "But you never lost it. It's a part of you just like he is a part of me' jon told him
'But the things I've done-'
'It's not my place to forgive you for all of it but what I can forgive...' Jon told him 'I do.' He heard the creek of the door and saw rieka watching them. 'You don't need to choose Theon you are a greyjoy and you are a stark.' Jon told him.
'Thank you Jon.' Theon told him sincerely.
"That was great!" Rieka declared.
"Can we talk now Rieka?" Jon questioned moving towards her.
"Sure." Rieka agreed but an unsullied soldier came in behind her.
"Lord Snow you have been summoned," grey worm remarked.
"Can it wait?" Jon countered.
"A summons by the queen." He clarified.
"In other words no." Rieka countered.
"Rie-"
"Go Jon. Thank you for talking with Theon." Rieka added kissing his cheek. He nodded giving her hand a squeeze before heading off. Rieka walked off too Theon chased after her.
"So we were talking before we were interrupted a while back remember that?" Rieka questioned.
"Yes." Theon agreed.
"What were you going to say?"
"I know I dont deserve it-"
"Stop saying that, we are moving forward, remember?" Rieka countered.
"I love you, I want to start a real life with you after this, I want to do what I should have done before the king ever came to Winterfell."
"after this blasted war." Rieka grumbled.
"Let me take your mind off this war." Theon requested.
"How?" Rieka countered as he led her back to her chambers.
"Let's see," theon said, his voice low as he closed the door. Rieka sat on the bed glancing a Robbie as he babbled. He was a very self sufficient little man when he wanted to be and a needy little cuddle bug, she was glad for the former right now. "What would be a good distraction..," he mused. "Well I know how I would distract you," rieka chuckled as he touched her leg. "First I'd push you down on the bed. Then I'd slide over you and kiss you from your neck up." she made a low moan in her throat.
"I like that..." she admitted softly.
"I'd take my hand and press it to your cheek and look you in the eye. Then I'd tell you that you're the most beautiful woman I've ever seen. That I think you're brilliant and kind and that seeing you is the highlight of my entire moon. That when you're on your way, I'm already dreading you leaving and when I'm with you I'm happy." he went on, she blinked into the bedroom. She couldn't breathe.
"Theon..." she whispered.
"I'm sorry," he said softly. "I know that's not proper." she shook her head.
"No," she agreed quietly. "But I liked the visual." she could tell he was smiling.
"I made you smile." Theon whispered. "I miss making you smile."
"I miss it too." Rieka agreed kissing him. "You did it so easily. I love you, Theon, I will always love you." She kissed him again but he pulled back.
Theon dropped to one knee and Rieka squealed, her childhood dreams were coming true.
"Rieka Rose Stark... will you do me the unmeasurable honor of becoming my wife?"
'I'm waiting for an old friend.' Bran said to Samwell.
'You're his brother shouldn't you tell him?' Samwell asked nervously.
'I'm not his brother and he trust you more than anyone, now is the time' Bran told him but his gaze shifted to Rieka.
"What was that about?" Rieka questioned. Bran smiled innocently back at her. "Never mind I have news!" He held to her hand as she sat down in his lap. "I'm getting married after this stupid war is over."
"I'm happy for you Rieka."
"You are not mad?"
"I forgave him, same as you." Bran assured.
"We all just have to survive this."
