Scarlet POV:
Socs. Shit. I didn't know what to do, so I just kinda stood there and watched as they pulled up. I was shaking. Then I saw one come out of the car. I looked around me to see if I could find somewhere to hide or something to throw at them. But then, as I looked around, I saw I was in a vacant lot. I knew that I couldn't run back to Ponyboy and his brothers house. It was too far. Then I realized that the guy had gotten much closer, and he started talking, "Hey... who's this greaser." He slurred. He had a flask in his left hand so I could tell that he was really drunk, which made it even scarier. Then I saw some of his other friends stumble forward, and one of them said "Hey I think that's Winston's sister." The leader made a confused face. "Dallas winston doesn't have a sister. He probably doesn't even have parents." Then he chuckled. That made me kind of mad, though, because they can insult me, but not my family. Then I spoke up. "Hey, he does have parents, shoot he even has a sister." I realized that was a big mistake since the leader turned around, laughed a bit, then asked,"And who is this sister of his?" "Me."
