*at the Mathews house*
Scarlets POV:
I was honestly having a great time here with Mrs Mathews. She was really kind and understood my past. We were in the middle of baking strawberry white chocolate chip cookies when I brought up the boys. " I wonder what the boys are doing in their 'boys' night.'" I said, and I emediatly saw her get tense. " Do you know what they are doing?" I asked, searching for answers in her facial expression but finding none. "Oh, Scarlet," she sighed. "They didn't want you to know..."Know what?" I asked, gaining concerned. "Can't tell." She stated bluntly. I looked her in the eyes with my saddest 'cutest girl in the world' eyes and pouted my lip. "There having a Rumble." I could feel myself go pale."Where."In the park! But don't go, you weren't supposed to know!" But I ignored her. I ran straight out the door. I started crying because I was mad at the gang and dally for not telling me, but I was also sad. Sure, I'm the girl in the gang, and they didn't want me to get hurt, but I was raised in Harlem for Pete's sake! Soon, I had reached the park, and sure enough, there was a full-on Rumble going on. Without stalling any longer, I ran and punched the first soc I saw with an upper cut. It was a skin on skin fight. You could tell. They were shorter, and people were being thrown around much more than in chain or blade fights. I found a smaller looking soc and tackled him. I realized I was still crying while socking the guy in the face. After a minute, I was thrown off the soc, and all the socs started running to their fancy cars. I hid behind a tree, trying not to be noticed by anyone sothat I could find the gang and help them clean their cuts without being stopped on the way when I heard a soc in his car shout to his friends, "I swear it was a girl! I swear I saw one!" Then I felt a big muscular hand on my shoulder, and I jumped a bit. "Scarlet?" Said a deep voice. I recognized it as darry. "Come, let's get you cleaned up." Then he turned to me as if he had forgotten to ask me something. "How long were you in the Rumble for?" Bout twenty minutes before it finished." Then we headed to the curtis house with the gang, all of them asking me questions like 'how did you get there' or 'how did you know'. Everyone except dally. He was silent.
