The Ancients Return

Part 4: The Fight

As Agent 3 finishes up the last few trials, she decides that it is finally time to head up to the silo. Destroying some Fuzzy Ooze lying around it, she finally reaches it. Hearing Agents 1 & 2 talking to each other after they separated on her new communications device.

After a bit of hesitation, she decides to head inside. Turning into a squid to get through the grate and reach her destination that may or may not cost her life.

A few minutes pass by, and she reaches the trial, surprised to see that this O.R.C.A is prohibiting this area from normal use, but seeing that it doesn't do anything about it, she gets up and super jumps towards what seems to be an empty platform.

Agent 3 gets a call from Agent 2, seeming to be very urgent, she activates the receiver, wanting to hear what she has to say.

Agent 2: "Agent 3, you're not alone in there, there's another person with you!"

Agent 2's voice sounds a bit cautious, worried for her. But, Agent 3 takes her words seriously, looking around, and finally spotting a figure, looking like what seems to be...

Frye: "Yo! We meet again huh?! Didn't we tell you that this is our treasure?!"

Yep, it's Frye. Agent 3 rolls her eyes over this, remembering her at the first island, she had wondered about whatever treasure that's behind the massive safe that they would want so much as to gatekeep it from anyone else.

Agent 3: "You again? You're really annoying to deal with, even when we aren't fighting each other."

Frye: "S-shut it! We are taking this treasure for us, so I would appreciate it very much if you would leave, or else..."

Suddenly, a massive Octostomp replica falls from the air, hitting the floor with a loud thump, making Agent 3 jump a bit from the noise, as Frye gets on top of it, and stomps on it, making some weird eels appear from the face of it.

Frye: "I'll have to force you to leave!"

But, Agent 3 looks more disgusted than she is intimidated...that's, if she even was intimidated at all.

Agent 3: "Eugh...that's disturbing."

Frye: "The only disturbing thing left will be you when I'm done! So don't fool around, as this is The Eel Deal!"

Agent 3 sighs in disappointment at the pun, even Agents 1 & 2 cringe at that pun, overhearing it from the comms device.

Agent 2: "I hate to say this, but even Agent 1 makes better puns."

Agent 3 doesn't really care, as harsh as it sounds, she's trying to not get killed by this monstrosity of an Octostomp.

Frye: "I'll leave you in the ink! We saw this first, so it's rightfully ours! Now, eat this!"

Frye fires many eels at Agent 3, which she dodges, but doesn't know what to do with them, until Agent 1 sees something familiar with them.

Agent 1: "Hey, this is like the Octobot King's projectiles...maybe you can damage her if you shoot them back at her? I saw some masked ones from your camera, try those!"

Agent 3 decides to go with it, firing at the masked eels, causing them to fire right back at Frye, making her almost lose balance for a moment.

Frye: "H-hey! Stop that! These are my babies!"

She suddenly starts to spin the entire cube on one corner somehow, making Agent 3 confused, as many eels start pouring out and into the air.

Frye: "First dance! Eel Downpour!"

The Eels now start to dive down near Agent 3, as she fires at the ones she can hit, some masked eels getting sent back to Frye, causing her to lose balance and make the cube flip, making her stunned on the top of it.

Agent 2: "She's stunned, get her!"

Agent 3 rushes towards the cube, inking up the sides and getting to the top, firing at Frye with her Hero Shot, splatting Frye and making the cube shake violently, deciding to super jump off of it.

Frye respawns back on her cube, a bit annoyed and dazed, but still persistent, looking down at Agent 3.

Frye: "This isn't over yet! Time to kick it up a notch!"

The eels come out again, roaring so loudly that it clears the battlefield of ink, both her and Agent 3s ink.

Frye: "Second dance! Moray Whirlpool!"

Her cube spins in the middle of the arena, splashing her ink around her as her eels enter the ink and create rings near her, preventing Agent 3 from getting closer.

But, using her logic from what she did previously, she fires at the eels, sending some back over to Frye, the last masked one being hard to hit from how fast it is going, but eventually hitting it, making it ram into Frye and stun her once more, the cube making sparks on the floor and loud thumps.

Agent 1: "You got this Agent 3! Show her that we deserve this treasure!"

Agent 3 inks up the cube once again, splatting Frye and super jumping off of the cube, as she respawns again, this time, looking super annoyed and a hint of anger.

Frye: "You're the first since my colleagues to push me this far...I've had enough playing around, I'm going all out! Don't ahead of yourself, this is OUR treasure!"

She stabilizes the cube, this time, aiming it at Agent 3, and does something she doesn't expect.

Frye: "Final dance! Great Moray Transformation!"

Suddenly, a whole school of eels fly out of the cube and rapidly fly towards Agent 3, who seems to be panicking.

Agent 2: "Agent 3, dodge!"

Agent 3 hears her, and narrowly dodging the eels, as Frye does another dance of hers.

Frye: "Third dance! Hundred-Eel Vision!"

All of the eels now start to surround Agent 3, firing ink projectiles at her as she dodges as much as possible, taking some hits while taking down a ton of eels, a lot of them hitting Frye and knocking her down.

Agent 2: "Now's your chaaa~aance!"

Agent 3 inks up the cube one more time, splatting Frye and super jumping off. As Frye respawns back on the cube, and takes something out on her hands.

Frye: "...Fine, you win...but, this isn't over yet! I will get my revenge someday!"

She throws it down, and then it sends her and a few eels flying over the vault and out of sight, the cube getting destroyed and making the entire arena filled with Agent 3's ink.

Agent 1: "You did it! Wohoo!"

Agent 2: "Well done...hey, the vault's opening up now!"

And like she said, the vault opens up and extends a platform out, as Agent 3 super jumps towards it to see what's up there.

When she gets on the platform, she finds some weird frame for something, but what she sees that peeks her interest is a battery on what looks like the seat, deciding to take it up with her to the rest of the agents.

Agent 3: "Well...that's one ping down...no Cuttlefish though...

...maybe the next one does?"
